The FNAF Fan Game That Was ALMOST Perfect

The Return to Bloody Nights is a very popular FNAF Fan Game that centers around the concept of Fredbear's Family Diner, one of my favorite concepts from FNAF as a whole. Unfortunately, despite its flashy visuals and satisfying writing, the gameplay is anything but. Let's discuss!

i honestly dont mind the flaws, i think this game is perfect if you consider it in context of it being based mostly on the first game: the sound and visual design is incredible and it arguably has MORE story and content than the original

I’ll remember this as the ONE Fnaf game which scared 8-Bit Ryan so much, he quit playing it because he couldn’t mentally handle the suspense and dread. That’s when you know, you did Fnaf PERFECT.

The return to Bloody Nights manage to create that simple and classic feel to what makes a FNAF fan game as a whole very special when it comes to horror. The part where the animatronics pop up at the door very close in your office, definitely gives the vibe when we played FNAF for the very first time and how it was the scariest thing ever.

I had always kind of assumed that the night gameplay isn't in sync with the Henry and William phone calls.

He says he saw children sitting in a ballpit pretending its a time machine, referring to "Into the Pit"

When introducing the puppet he says he dont wants a puppet to crawling into a sleeping mans mouth, referring to "Room for one more"

Fredbear 2.0 uses the same voice lines as the HECU Soldiers from Half-Life.

so fredbear 2.0 saying “MY. ASS. IS. HEAVY.” can be considered canon to rtbn lore.

6:45 you don't really need to flick your mouse to it, from what I can understand, you're moving the mouse so fast that it goes through the hitbox in order for the game to understand you want to go to the left door, you just need to hover the mouse over said hitbox and you can see the left door

22:11 you are missing something lmao. the timeline of this game goes like this:

The location William and Henry are talking about on the phone is Circus Baby's, they say it's a new location, meanwhile the CEO stats that Fredbear's has been around for a long time. The new animatronics that look too scary are the funtime animatronics, not the springlocks. The phone before night 5 is not talking about the bite of 83, it's talking about Elizabeth's death. This is stated during the night 5 cutscene.

So Elizabeth dies, William kills Charlie at Fredbear's, then 5 other children at Freddys, and pins the blame on Henry. The Bite of 83 is actually never mentioned in this game, and its been implied that it didn't even happen in this universe??? If I did have to put in it there., I'd say it happened like the day before night 6.

I remember seeing markipler olay this and was genuinely terrifying, but my cocky brain was like “it can’t be that bad” so i tried it with my brother, in the first night he quit and when i was playing, there was so much fear and anxiety going through my head to where my brother scared me by tounching my shoulders, he laughed and a jumpscared happened and scared both of us, and i was wearing headphones XD

Such a good game. Personally my only gripe is that the title suffers from “jumble words to make a fnaf fangame title stand out”-itis.

From what I've gathered, our shifts in this game might actually happen quite a while after the Bite of 83? Assuming William hasn't been killing any kids yet by the time of these phone calls, it seems like we're simply taking a peek into the past. The calls happened, then the bite happened, a while later the disappearances happen, and a month later, the gameplay happens.

I absolutely love this game, the real time mode is something that has stuck with me to be honest.

Also a use the cameras have is that they stall any animatronic on said camera. Which can save your ass when you need to let the generator cool down.

Also final thing, max mode gives you some nice voice lines durring the night. You should try it

You know The Return to Bloody Nights is considered to be some of the most well made FNAF fangames to ever exist, some of the voice acting in this are nice and the designs of the animatronics, hallways, rooms, the stage, and even the entire building are all amazing which gives us an insight on how Fredbear's Family Diner would've been like. Now despite this FNAF Fangame The Return to Bloody Nights to have flaws in the gameplay and what not, it's still a great FNAF fangame which took years to make by the way. Glad you made a video on it and i can't wait to see what The Return to Bloody Nights VR has in store for us.
