I was disappointed that they spent all this time making these absolutely horrifying and realistic animatronics but they never have them actually do anything other than jump scare you for choosing incorrectly. They dont threaten you in any way at all. It would have been cool to see them peak around corners or enter the office for a while and put fear into the players heart knowing that these giant robots could murder them.

This game did something I loved. They made mangle HUGE. When I see him/her/it it’s so massive and intimidating, it actually feels like I’m looking at a mangled mess of animatronics that’s rebuilt and smashed together.

I kinda wish they made nights 1-5 more interesting. Like how other games would add new characters and mechanics as the game progresses. Jr's has all six of the characters active immediately on night 1 and the only thing that really changes the later nights is that you have to find the ghost more. It makes the nights feel a bit repetitive.

Actually, the new update, adds an "checkpoint" at the Mangle's part.

For what its worth the claymation style looks like its a clay texturing render via blender based on the environment around them. Hard to explain but the comparison between them and the scaled environment around them, as well as the smoothness of their motions looks like its made in blender

For the different repairs for each animatronic you wanted, I have an idea.
Puppet - Needs to reattach torn strings.
Balloon baby - Restock balloons.
Freddy - Restore mic.
Bonnie - Tune guitar.
Chica - Fix seams on outfit.
Foxy - Polish hook.

My issue with Jr's is that the mechanics are shallow and once you've learned them, the game is basically over because there's not much the game can do against you once you've figured it out.
It creates this weird phenomena where players actually have the hardest time the first 3 nights and then they breeze through the rest of the game until they come across Mangle which is only hard because the game gives you about 15 seconds to learn his mechanics.

I personally liked everything BUT the story. I don't mind the lack of scares, it made the game more interesting to me but the story felt too fast for me. It felt like they were trying to get us to feel something for the two protagonists, but there was not enough time to do so. The dude JUST arrived in the barrens and suddenly he's like "no matter what, we can do anything if we do it together." and im like, , , bro? we just met calm down. But other than that, I LOVED the games aesthetic and visuals. These are hands down my favorite animatronic designs and id love to see more games made in this style.

One big problem with the game for me is that normally in fnaf you constantly don't feel safe in your office because the animatronics are slowly closing in on you, however in this game as long as an animatronics thingy doesn't go down no one really shows up to the office.

I'm usually really harsh on FNAF fangames, but I actually really like this one. It's a very unique and refreshing take on the idea of five nights at freddy's and I think it works pretty well. Screw Ramenov though

"You know when you are going to be jumpscared" is actually really well made as it gives you a constant stance of urgency, nothing's scarier than a clock slowly ticking downwards, even if you know that it means death, it's still scary. Though I do understand the people who like the original jumpscares.

As someone who has dabbled in 3D programs, I can absolutely say that the most impressive part of this game must be the realism. Most fnaf games usually go with large and open designs for their offices, but this manages to keep it grounded in reality. Plus, the rooms seen from the cameras are indistinguishable from real photos. There are still a lot of things to praise about the game's visuals, but it would just be too long to include here.
Even though the gameplay lacks in some parts, it still impressed me a whole lot.

to be honest, i never expected jrs to be that scary. i wouldve loved if it was but to me it was more a game that i could just have fun playing. with other fnaf games, i was more stressed and frustrated trying to beat them over having fun. the regular nights for me are really fun to play through, even if they get repetitive by night 5. the only time i wasnt having fun was during night 6, i was playing the first release so the game ran poorly and there wasnt a checkpoint. but mangle in the hallway made me jump every time without fail lol.

I personally wasn’t scared by it, though literally only 3 fnaf style games do (4, 6, and A Shadow Over Freddy’s). This might be an odd comparison, but the aspect of figuring out which animatronic is possessed (which I feel where the depth comes from, and I wish you’ve covered more) makes me think of Return Of The Obra Dinn, and makes it my personal favorites. I do agree with your complaints though.

I've heard they're working on expanding more of the game which is nuts for a Fangame. Plus Jr's is one of those games where I can just play casually and not get too scared as much and just enjoy the entire experience overall which convinced my buds to try it out too

from what ive heard of the game, its supposed to be more based on strategy more than anything. its meant to NOT be scary, weirdly enough. when looked at in that light, the game becomes a lot better as a game. i see it being a poor decision for a fnaf fangame tho. as a general fangame, however, its a really good direction.

Totally valid criticisms, and ones I had checking out the game for the first time, too. It’s a little jarring that the scariest part of the sound design is the sound that plays when you choose the haunted animatronic correctly.

This game focuses on ambient horror more than jumpscares, and that I really respect. The "jumpscares" are more of kill animations than jumpscares. The ambient horror is great, as even when I knew when I was going to be killed, I was still on edge the whole time.

I find it strange that people are complaining that once you learn the controls it becomes less scary-

Don’t you think you can say that about every fnaf game once you learn the controls?

One of my few issues with the story that was likely gonna be explained in a sequel if it wasn't canceled
A: Why is she evil and paulbear isn't?
B: why does the animatronic we guess but get wrong attack us? Like wouldn't it make more sense if the haunted one did
C: Why does guessing the animatronic right get her to leave but she's completely fine when she's in the mangle
D: how do you even kill a ghost with a knife please respond quickly I'm totally not getting attacked by ghosts rn but if I was please do respond
