Even though the original game isn't too good, the sequel thats still in development actually looks great and doesn't look much like FNaF, seperating it from the series, which is great.

it's sad to see this because judging by the looks of the game, this person has an incredible amount of talent. This artstyle is fantastic and I really wanna see more of it. Someone else in the comments said they're making a sequel so I hope that one turns out better

I think it's fine that this is getting sold on Steam. Scott made a game which is really unique, and in the first moment you would think that anything similar is a fangame and shouldn't be sold in any way without Scott's permission. However, technically Scott made a new genre of haunted animatronics and while this game really reminds of Sister Location it's still its own game with its own characters (even if similar to Sister Location), its own story and its own gameplay, its own assets and its own code (at least I hope so). I wouldn't say that this is enough to get taken down from Steam, just because it is a really obvious FNAF inspired game. If every game similar to another one would get taken down on Steam and other platforms we really wouldn't have a lot to play, but in the first moment it's almost logical to think that games like these should get taken down, although it uses a really unique genre which only one person used commercially on Steam yet, until this game came out.

my issue with it is the theming doesn't match the threats. You're in a school right? Why is there robot wolves and stuff? Feels like they wanted animatronics because "that's what fnaf has". If the game focussed on original monster concepts, I don't think people would've taken as much issue with it, aside from complaining at it's difficulty

There's not really any reason this game should get taken off of steam. Although the game isn't particularly original, Scott Cawthon can't exactly copyright the idea of an abandoned building with spooky animatronics.

Before I realized this was a paid game on steam I actually liked the first few phases of the game. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and level design
Of course it all goes off the rails after phase 2

As someone who bought the game i think its more like chase animatronics, its fnaf inspired but not a clone. Or a cash-grab. II didnt like the later phases but theres much work and effort put into it, but i dont think its worth the 8 bucks

0:29, according to the Iceberg you saw, Five Nights at The Krusty Krab is the first fnaf fangame to be sold on steam, albeit briefly.

I think it's fine that it's on Steam. I'd say I'm actually interested in checking it out, but the unclear instructions and terrible balancing on the last couple of phases is pushing me away and considering the age of the game I doubt there'll be any fixes.

Perhaps it is because I am not a native english speaker that "forces" me to think of all the possibilities or something, but although this is the first time I see this game, it is... KINDA clear, no? Even with the broken english. "Focus the light to wooden" - "move fast the mouse". It is said that we gotta focus the light to woodens and then move the mouse fast, no?

Technically it's allowed, If I make a platformer and say Mario and Sonic "inspired" me it doesn't mean its a fan game of Mario or Sonic so long as the things in the game are original to the creator. Now it doesn't mean the game is any good, but because the only mention of Fnaf is a small line of text saying it's inspired and there is no sight or sound of one of the Freddy's animatronics the creator is within their rights to try to earn money off their project just like Case Animatronics did. Hell Popgoes could've probably gotten away with it back when the original came out if the story wasn't so tied into the fnaf lore. If the culture didn't build itself on Game jolt we probably would've seen a lot more of these types of games trying to make money off the new Genre that Scott Cawthon created.

this game has been in my memories since I watched Dawko play it and I honestly think I've never seen him more bored with a game ever

Not going to lie, the mechanics are clearly wonky. And the game is overall unfair. But the models and renders of the scenes are pretty beautiful. Mostly the clock level has a very pleasing look to it and a cool atmosphere

Whether or not you think its good or bad, I don't think Scott has the right to take it down.

This game does have a lot of potential to be an amazing fan game! The main problem is the insane difficulty and how long some points can be

I think it’s different enough where it can clarify as a different game, sister location wasn’t the first horror point and click game and that is such a vast genre too, having an animatronic and jump scares in the game makes them a little more similar but those things are pretty common horror features

Edit: (Nevermind, i forgot it USED to be a fnaf fangame, it's no longer counted as one..)

Ahh i remember this game from 2017

This game and Circus baby's nightmare world was a pretty amazingly made game which emulates the fnaf feeling pretty well

Imo it doesn't do any harm than being a mildly challenging and annoying games at times, and there isn't anything too dramatic in it nor with its devs that "ruins" the franchise

I'd say keep it, if someone buys it it's probably because they have loose change and want to pay for a fnaf fan game

Here's the thing it is clearly inspired by Fnaf but as long as it makes no direct references and/or mentions to Fnaf itself it makes this a legitimate game as long as the creators don't directly call this a fan game, animatronics were only popularized by Fnaf in the horror game genre and such, Scott does not own them however.
Edit: Doesn’t change that the game is bad though.

Bruh the "Wooden" has to be the worst fan character design for FNAF I've ever seen.
