Using Wingdings for hidden messages, having an Earthbound reference, a character with a plant for a head gaining sentience, the character saying “you know what’s going on here, don’t you” to the player, and trying to steal the player’s soul? This seems like something Toby Fox would make!

Imagine if I had played this game in 2017. I would literally cry. I remember playing doki doki back then when it was just starting to get popular and I was really into visual novels, I never knew something like that was possible and I freaked out when my files changed. I thought I was hacked and told my mom everything, we even reached out to my mom's friend who fixes pcs HAHAHAHA
