Something Manlybadasshero pointed out. On the pages where Lamu wakes up (5:55) on the second page, there is a syringe looking thing in his neck. I'm sure it's how he got the animal DNA in him. Just an observation.

Now I am wondering how old is Lamu now? He was a child when he run away, he probably attended school as it inplies that he could read, so he was probably 7-9 years old. How long was he living in this cave that he gave the park a bad name and forgot how to read
Edit: Ok, I have calculated this, the article about the murder of the Bronze family came out in October 1977. The one from the ending where we survive shows that it is now 2002. It means Lamu has been living in that cave for approximatley 30 years and is probably around 40. Jesus.

I think lamus perspective is cartoonish and innocent because he was a child when he was transformed to the llama, so the horrible murders he does seem like eating fruit to him because he is still thinking like a young child. It also explains why when the people run away from the campsite, he thinks they want him to catch them to eat them.

ngl when this new ending came out it made lamu's character a bit more tragic i kinda hope one ending or new content is making lamu go back to being human or at least getting them out of the way they are now but i kinda doubt the dev is gonna go for that

I guess at the time Lamu/Larry arrived at the park, he may still had human arms as he was able to draw on the book. By the time the protagonist has arrived at the park, Lamu is now a llama with a human face, and his mind is now fully beyond reason

Wow. What a really sad backstory on Larry’s life. His own father not only stole his childhood, but experimented on him, turning him into a monster.

And I agree with some people in the comments, there should be an extra ending where Lamu is turned back to normal.

Perhaps these 20-year-olds simply went to disprove the legend of lamu's forest. They must have assumed it was all made up by locals just to scare kids. So the characters, being young and feeling invincible, made up a challenge to stay in the forest overnight and prove to themselves and everybody else that the legend was not real. Only to learn the hard way that it was. They probably brought Mochi because they assumed the forest was truly safe or as a warning system in case there really was any danger.

Our best clue for this was when thw 4th group member- our character -found the cave in the new update and said it was the "cursed" cave. With the word cursed being in quotation marks implying they were skeptical when they first heard about it.

Though there is an equal probability that this challenge could have been a local game. Like young kids would challenge each other to stay in the forest overnight to see who could last until morning. A challenge that was obviously never beaten.

My theory is that: lamu or Larry was a kid with he's parents, he's dad abused him and his mom so he's mom would protect him that's why he sees he's mom as a good person someone who doesn't deserve love
But then his dad turned him in to a hyped of a llama and human he's mom didn't want that to happen so she tried to stop him but he would lock her in a room and turn lamu or Larry in to the beast we know now but it would kill him and he's wife, now Larry is no longer here in this world lamu replaced him lamu was angry, so angry that he killed his own father and mother when he calmed down he realized he killed his own mother he didn't care that he kill he's dad he only cared about his mom he couldn't stay and see the person who protected him he's all his life die, he left the police came after he left.

Why he sees things in a cartoon world:lamu or Larry loved the book called the llama is hungry so he sees things in same way the book is viewed.

Why is he always hungry: he has been viewing the world the same way as the book and it only has one so he's day repeats so his always hungry.
