Asking mechanics... "What's the least reliable car?" Some familiar makes are popping up again from previous videos, namely from the video we did about cars they would never buy (Hyundai and Kia). However, according to Consumer reports here are the top five least reliable brands from last year:

1.) Chrysler
2.) Mercedes-Benz
3.) Rivian
4.) Volkswagen
5.) Jeep

Do any of these car brands surprise you as being named unreliable?

The least reliable car is the one that doesn’t get maintained.

I have 2017 i20 hyundai bought new done 86k miles so far. Out of stupidity drove 11k miles without service and oil change two years ago. Now, i have to check oil level every 300 miles or change the piston rings. Still runs great and never failed me once.

The fact that their answers weren't unanimous gives hope to the rest of us.

Now ask them what they drive. Then ask another shop the same question.

I’ve owned a Hyundai and Kia, both over 100k with no issues.

I asked some mechanics for shits and giggles What their least favorite cars were and most of them responded with Toyota and Honda. Not because they're bad cars but because they'd hardly ever come in for anything other than maintenance. Mechanics want your shit to break so they can get paid

I'm surprised that no one said LR/RR/Jaguar...

I totally disagree with that lol. I was expecting Fiat or small cars on Ford. But Hyundai?

The problem about BMW is that a lot of its driver just don't know how to take care of a car. Already revving the cold ass engine, ignoring maintanence intervals etc. Sadly a lot of BMW drivers are kiddies or just ppl who like to show off.

Driving BMW since 2018 and never had a problem so far!

No wonder I always see that 06’ Range Rover sitting outside in my neighbor’s driveway for over 2months.

My first guess, was Audi, had to junk my Audi A3 some years ago, 45k miles black on black, smelled like a brand new car. What I did next got my '74 El Camino, most reliable car car ever, daily drive since 2017.

My Hyundai burns oil. Engine replaced under warranty. DCT, trash. Being replaced under Warranty Been at the dealer for 2 weeks. Advice. If you buy, buy it new. Warranty won’t cover it if you’re not original owner. Or, better advice don’t buy Hyundai

On my way to work they built a new BMW service center. Once it was completed, I yet to ever see the parking lot empty 😂
