Do not buy a CLA or GLC, a master mechanic from Mercedes told me this directly.

It is both astonishing and infuriating to me that in 2024 car manufacturers still knowingly make vehicles which are unreliable and full of problems. This is exemplified by the Ford Bronco which frankly should be withdrawn completely from the market. Also, everything made by Chrysler is bad. Why are they still in business? Why is it so difficult for these companies to make reliable, long-lasting vehicles?

I wouldn’t touch any of them. I’m a long time Honda owner and won’t switch!

I still remember times when Ford had a solid reputation for basic, inexpensive cars. 8-year old Escort with 120K miles was selling for $1250, 6-year old Taurus with 70K miles was selling for $3500. No twin tubos, no dual clutches, no cameras around, no AI-assisted air conditioners. Nothing to break, just turn an ignition key and drive. What Ford is now just breaks my heart.

Re: Nissan Rogue - I am old school and 1.5L 3 Cylinder turbo engine doesnt work with 5 year power train warranty. I had almost bought Nissan Rogue 2023 but pulled out at the last moment. I opted for Outlander instead with a more conventional 4 cylinder naturally aspirated engine and 10 years of power train warranty. I am happy with my choice.

I'm picking up a theme here. Maybe we should blame the CAFE standards that are forcing manufacturers to turbocharge small engines to compensate for the lack of displacement. I'm sure Toyota and Ford would be happy to go back to their much more reliable naturally-aspirated V8's.

Lots of people buy for the look, they don't care about reliability and durability, much like marriage these days.

The Tundra is a shocker. I've even heard Toyota Dealers don't want them as trade-ins! YIKES!!!
The only cars ever l refused for trade-ins were Nissans with JATCO CVTs and VW Diesels.

We owned 2017 Rogue. We drove all over CA, Utah, NV, and AZ. So far, it’s been great. Knock on wood.🤞

Replace the trusted 5.7 V8 with a V6, what can go wrong? Ford and GM take note.

Every time I watch new episode I get more and more motivated to start a channel that will analyze these videos and explain to consumers how much of brain pollution this is

Great video Shari as always.
I agree with the NEW Toyota Tundra and probably add NEW Toyota Tacoma as well. These are complex Turbo engines just like those poor quality Ford Ecoboost and Honda Turbo engines.

The Nissan Frontier is a gem of a vehicle with that 3.8 V6 engine. Why wouldn’t Nissan use this engine on all their line up? Absolute nonsense.

Toyota really let their customers down.

You absolutely nailed the comment service after warranty expiration. Ford is by far one of the worst company when it comes to warranty assistance when the warranty expires. Ford and like many other manufacturers service is horrible.

Toyota has fallen from grace for reliability and quality build. this is the age we live in where profit comes before quality.
Corporate greed.
As for Ford and Stelantis/chrysler well they've had issues since they first opened they're doors.
Govt partially to blame here by forcing manufacturers to comply with environmental concerns regarding emissions and fuel consumption.
