Hey, hey! Thanks for watching! I'm sorry y'all had to look at my face for this (I was going to do a speed paint and OBS did not want to cooperate with me *sad computer noises*) And as you can probably tell, I'm very new to making videos and actually TALKING in them, so I'm hoping to improve and make higher quality stuff for you in the future ;) Thanks again!

I'd also like to mention something that personally helped me when I was drawing in general. I've noticed that when I listen to my favourite songs while I draw, I tend to enjoy the process more. and I sometimes get more new ideas! Music may not be for everyone, but from personal experience, my favourite songs get me excited to draw and work WHILE I'm working.

That 'What If..? Method' sounds fun! Like plotting out different timelines with the same characters and picking the best/funnest one! Thanks so much for this! I love hearing from people with experience and since I really wanna start something soon, this was posted just in time!

OKAY, I think it's so funny, you start out saying you are not professional which I get but your tips are actually the best I've heard
so far on youtube, they are the most accurate, after doing a comic on webtoon almost 6 years now. all these are pretty much true. Great video!

Ooh I remember I saw you promoting Prism World on reddit a couple months ago and I've been hooked ever since even though I read over 150 ongoing webtoons. I love reading your comic, and I'm glad you've gone out of your way to share your knowledge on comic creation. I'm also an artist myself in the process of planning out a comic, so this video is very much appreciated :)

I like to draw as I write. Nothing detailed. Just thumbnail sketches (that are so rough, only I can tell what's going on in them, lol) It helps me to visualise the final picture and it's also good for later on when drawing the actual comic.

Side note: I absolutely love your earrings. They are adorable omg.

Normally I'm a little shy of saying anything, but this really helped me out! Especially when you were saying about letting the characters tell their own story! Such a cool concept! Thanks so much! I really enjoyed this video. You have such cool characters too and you are so inspiring! Would love to read your webcomic as well. I think I can work on this now in a much better light now ^o^

Ok, when you said the thing about sci-fi… I have made SO many plots TRYING to get a story right and I think I’ve finally found it, but I SWEAR the change from first concepts to end result is… it went from spies training to be in the enemy’s guard to crazy lesbian mad scientists to new girl in town but it’s a whole new galaxy but she’s an alien but she’s a scientist there for research… I don’t know if I can even count them as part of the same process, the only string connecting them is some names…

8:36 same. I’m still in the writing process but I’ve been working on the writing part for a while and I literally got like 5 seasons down into the doc (26 episodes in each season) and decided to go with a different route since it was moving too fast and I had like 5 main characters. So I made 3 new stories, 2 of them have 2 characters and 1 has one of them. But I’m not working in it yet cause I’m doing a starter to see how it’ll go.

First of all, I agree with everything you said in this video, so Thank you for that.

Secondly, I just recently came back home from my vacation, but I’m ready to get back to work on my own webcomic project.

Thirdly, it would probably take too long to explain all the details of my own story, so I’ll just say something about my inspirations:

My protagonist lives with his single mother on Earth at first, and that was partially inspired by Jim Hawkins from Treasure Planet, Hogarth Hughes from The Iron Giant, and also technically Peter Quill from Guardians of the Galaxy, all 3 of whom had a certain loving family relationship with their Moms.

It’s maybe a little bit childish, but I love this trope in storytelling.

Do you have any thoughts on this topic?

I'm a book writer that wants to start writing comics. I think the thing that makes me more unsure of how to start is to write the script itself. Probably because I've never written a script, so, don't even know if i should just go for it or not kkk

Thank you so much for the Tips because I feel super confident now with my web comic process! however I want advice on what to do next....I just finished my outline and I have no idea if I should move on to dialogue script or thumbnailing because I feel like I’m ready to draw and I just wanna work on dialogue as I go.... 🤔 but then again a script can guide me on what to do next in panels
