It's 2 a.m. I was studying and got this sudden urge to learn how to write with both my hands ( ambidextrous) wanna be more cool yk 😎

I'm ambidextrous to the point where most people can't tell which hand I've used for which part of writing if they're not super familiar with my handwriting quirks. I form some of the letters differently left-handed than I do right-handed. Back when I was in grade school, I was told that I had to pick which hand I wanted to use and highly encouraged to use my right hand. I was in middle school or early high school when I transitioned back over to being more left-handed.

Nowadays, it's a nice skill to have in case one of my hands gets tired or if I want to write something down while eating or cooking, I don't have to put down the utensils.

If anyone has seen his short videos, Karl Kopinski, an artist who has done some Magic the Gathering illustrations, has posted a few videos of sketching with both hands at once, though I think he's more left-handed than right-handed.

I have written with my left hand for almost 45 years. Due to an injury, I have had to write with my right hand. With lots of practice, my writing with my right hand is much neater but much slower. Now I will only sign my name with my left hand.

I was born as a lefty but my parents were Always against it so they train me to use my right but growing up it was really difficult to not know what hand is dominant so i began using both handed (ambidextrous)

I was born ambidextrous but at school I was punished for writing left handed so I only wrote with my right hand. Nowadays I do most things left handed, but I still haven’t gotten my left hand writing back yet. Hopefully I can get it back

I remember 5 years ago when I was still little, me and my friend started out a left hand writing challenge for fun. Soon, we dropped that and let it go. Looking back at the silliness, I decided to redo the same thing but this time, I won’t drop it again!!

Edit: I’ve been making so much progress although it is the 5th day I started practicing. Kudos to me!!!

Something that help me to improve is doing the same thing we did when we were kids and that is repeat and repeat writing letters!

Helps the brain to create new networks. The glide of a fountain pen makes writing more comfortable. Learned to write with non-dominate hand ten years ago.

I draw, and my hand has been getting very tiered, and gets cramps and locks up every so often, so I want to train my left hand to write and keep my right hand for drawing only. My writing has gotten pretty good, it's the speed now that I need to master.

I guess my motivation is more to become a better pianist cause I figured, if I can write with my left hand, I'll have more control over the hand and its fingers, hence making both my hands equally good at playing and well balanced

I broke my left arm (yes I am a lefty) so I needed to write in school and I started getting used to my right hand and after a few days I became an ambidextrous and could write with both hands perfectly
