First poem I’ve ever written 👉👈

_“Shadows chase her_
_Her beauty unhazed_
_Does dark retract_
_When she lets the sun beam her rays?_

_Or does she follow_
_behind trees, clouds and lamps_
_Hiding in the hollow_
_Waiting for the day_

_The day the sun rewinds_
_The moment she goes no further_
_When she smiles at the darkness_
_And no longer tries to disperse her”_

It’s about hope and unrequited love in the personification of the sun and the shadows.

I fell in love with him everyday,
A little more than yesterday
Until the day I realised
My love for him knew has
No boundaries, No limits
It was Infinite!

the poem i wrote immediately after watching this video:
I try to stay motivated,
but they keep me in the chains.
I attempt not to get deflated,
but I end up using a cane.
What should I do?
Find and answer on my own?
All those who’ve come before me
have always forfeit the throne.

It could use some work, but anyway, thanks ana!

you should publish a book with your poems! <3 You have a really pretty hand writing :)
Poems don't have to always rhyme. As long as they flow and have a message :)
Sending you love and creative vibes <3

I wrote a small piece:

Strength of the moon, alignment of the stars
Makes the nights look pretty, hiding all the scars.

Glowing softly in the dark Whispers of the night
A canvas of dreams unfold Painting stories in moonlight

Beneath the cosmic canvas Where dreams and Stardust blend,
The moon guards our secrets
A celestial timeless friend

*I wrote this poem after watching this video!*

In between the unpredictions, a meeting unfolds,
Refills fragrance to the garden of life.
Unscripted, unplanned, yet perfectly timed,
Drives life to a graceful ride.
Enters our orbit like a shooting star
Leaving the trail that brightens our path
Like a firefly they give hope in the dark
Leaving an undelible mark
The stars illumiante the sky
But these fireflies ornament our life on earth.
The kaleidoscope of moments with colors so bright
They paint our life with hues of delight.

This is my first ever poetry:

Thought this was a normal connection with you,
Until I shared my deepest and darkest secrets with you,
Thought you were a wall that couldn't speak much,
But you were the one who listened to me the most,
Though distance can separate us apart,
An intertwined connection that cannot.

I wrote this for a person who lives in a different country but they are the closest to my heart.

I was kinda sad today so I just wrote a poem about loneliness lol

I wish to be alone and enjoy things one day,
But then realise how lonely I get the other day.

I wish to express my feelings with someone I can trust,
But I have to search for that someone with whom I can trust.

These thoughts keep me awake at night,
Forcing me to deal with the overthinking and anxiety tonight.

I wish I had someone whom I could rely on,
But then I think to myself, "is this how I will be moving on?"

Cause you never really care if I was there,
or crying somewhere.
You turned away didn't see the pain I bear,
I was just a shadow fading into thin air

This is my first stanza

This is my first poem and my english is not as good as be able to write, because I speak English as a foreign language. This is it :
I used to be a thing
Now I'm just a remain
I pretended being an ocean
And denied the little stain
I hated being that man
I wish I didn't complain
I thought my soul was worthless
So I threw it in the drain
My life had past so fast
Faster than a train
I would to start over
And have a chance again
Unhappily life is not a tree
And I am not a grain
I call it a letter from a dead man. Tell me what do you think about it '

Hey just a passerby. As someone who writes already, I clicked this video wanting to go back to the fundamentals of poetry (to strengthen my writing). There is a lot of reliance on “my writing style.” And thus we saw how the creator of this video writes. That is a very laid back almost spoken style. A sole reliance on rhyme and feel, as opposed to juxtaposed ideas or conflicts. I’d recommend adding allusions, alliterations, and conflict. No tamed or controlled body of water can even compete with the beautiful chaos of the ocean

I went into this video expecting a really tedious step-by-step process that would generalise the art of writing poems, but finished it completely agreeing with everything you said-

The advice you give really hones in with what I think poetry should be about: emotion. Telling people to write poetry within their comfort and leasure is how the best poetry is created, because it directly leads to genuine poetry, in which genuine emotions are established and communicated.

When I write poetry, I make myself go through a really specific structure of finding out how the poem will be formatted, how many syllables per line, whether it's iambic (although, I never stick with that idea-) and how I can subvert it to create meaning. However, this is *always* after I have an idea that makes me want to write. I think that over anything, the emotion that goes into poetry is far more important than the quanity or images or language it has, for emotions in poetry (or any artistic form) eatablish quality.

Personally, I think your poetry guide really promotes this idea about people's interests being put over the idea that 'good' and 'bad' poetry exists, which encourages everyone to be included within writing poetry. Whether it is something that a child wrote in ten minutes or Percy Shelly's 'Ozymandias, ' they cannot be compared due to how human emotions are the priority of poetry. That's why I love this guide- it doesnt make people feel like there is one way to learn poetry or forges them into sonnets or odes, it simply encourages them to *do* poetry. That is what poetry is all about, after all.

Sometimes I challenge myself to write when I’m not in the mood to write. For example, maybe I would try to write a poem about not being in the mood to write poetry lol or a poem about silence, blank space, etc. doesn’t have to be a poem or song though, it can just be a journal entry and doing that sometimes helps.

The most important thing for good poetry is to have a message and convey that message clearly with passion.

In realms where excellence finds its space.

Hey i tried writing one too
I miss him..
His stupid smile
And his mesmerizing eyes
I love him
Those silly late night calls
During the late autumn fall
I despise him
For faking everything in our relationship
For not truly loving me
But what can I say?
My heart still beats for that man
I once called mine
