Guga’s favorite restaurant is Olive Garden. Remember the pasta steak and Gorgonzola episode and how happy he was to recreate it.

Guga, you will never know how many people you've inspired to up their steak game. Even with all the positive comments on your videos, they are only a small fraction of your sphere of influence. I finally tried Wagyu picanha two days ago. It blew me away with the flavour and tenderness. Keep up the fantastic content.

I swear this man has an unlimited amount of recipes for his potatoes. I’ve never seen the same potatoes in two different episodes 😂

I’ve always been fascinated with steaks since I was a kid learning how to cook, but I can safely say gugas method to simply seasoning with just salt, freshly ground black pepper and garlic powder. Definitely saved my Fourth of July party last year. The simple seasoning makes the steak taste so amazing. It brings out the natural flavors.

We ended up buying a half cow this year for the first time from a local rancher. Grass fed, no grain finish. Just picked it up from our butcher the other day and grilled up a Sirloin Tip Steak for the wife and I with just salt and pepper and a basting of garlic butter like you guys did in a previous video. Was probably the best steak I've ever had and I will NEVER eat steak at a restaurant again.

Great video!

I saw a dude buying a sous vide machine for Christmas. I said "Oh, giving sous vide a go?" He said he loved sous vide everything and asked me if I watched Guga? We bonded and both agreed there is no other way to cook a steak. Thank you Guga.

In light of these results, I think it would be cool to see a sort of "buyer's guide" for steak: how to find places that even sell higher grade meat, how to select a cut based on your preferences, and how to make sure you're getting a good one

Guga's fav restaurant is Smashburgers! Yeah, I wasn't expecting that either, it was in an earlier episode! :D
Great channel and definitely the best source of wisdom for cooking steak on the internet! The importance of having a "fat" steak cannot be overstated and a whole episode on this just makes sense! Great stuff!

Yeah, a thin one is ultimately never as good as a properly cooked thick steak, but I like the thin ones in certain situations, because ALL they require is a good skillet sear, which also provides sufficient cooking on a steak that thin. As much as I love sous vide and torch or pan sear, it is sometimes more effort than wanted at the time.

Bless HEB in Texas <3. They always have prime, choice, select, AND grass fed organic options for multiple cuts. It's not ALWAYS the best labeling, but seeing this made me appreciate at least having options.

I use to be a trucker, and Guga I can tell you from experience, that Walmart steaks are very different from state to state, If you go into a big beef state like Texas the steaks are REALLY good for being choice grading.

You should do another episode of this with other grocery stores. Here’s a good list to go from on top of what you’ve done here:

Target
Sam’s Club
Costco
Grocery Outlet
Publix

Not from Florida, but i tried looking up a few from there besides nationwide chains!

Me: "Oh well that steak doesn't look too-"
Guga: "This one? This is sad, this is not how a steak should be"
Me: "Disgusting, the steak is disgusting"
