Maybe I'm too emotionally attached to the first game and now Before the Storm, for some of us, these are not just games, these characters actually mean a lot to us. Yes I was happy to see Max again in the trailer for Double exposure... But at the same time, if there just doing this for more money, it will hurt. If it's just for money, and not for the fans or respecting the characters, then no, I'll replay or rewatch gameplay of LIS 1, or Before the Storm. I'm sorry but Max and Chloe mean a lot to me. Those are my thoughts, thanks for the video.

i just wish they were doing something different with her. murder mystery has been done too many times in the whole lis series.

Tbh looking at the game, doesn't even match the first game, and I'm not even talking about the models. Im talking about the art style, the original was very art-like, like they were hand drawn. all the scenes were cinematic like a super contrasted photograph. it felt like it was made by passionate art students. These games feel like they are focusing so hard to make them realistic and it lost the charm of the original game. now it looks like every other realistic game. I mean the Walking Dead series had their art style keep the comic book vibe while making characters more lifelike and fluid. If you showed me the first and this game together, I could tell you that I would not even know they were the same game, or made by the same company.

The fact that they have Max using her powers to save a dead friend again solidifies it as a cash grab. The first game demonstrated that doing so comes with a great price. Most fanpics of an older Max look better than Max in this game. I'm willing to bet dollars to donuts Chloe will not only make a cameo, but will probably save Max's life in an alternate timeline.

Man the rework on Max face makes me feel old and sad...

the games plot just feels like a rehashed true colors without the emotional story of belonging

I agree with DONTNOD, Max's story was tied to Arcadia Bay & Chloe. This just sounds all kinds of bad.

My main issue with this game is it looks like a similar story to the first game (using her powers to save a friends life), and in doing so would mean that Max learnt nothing the first time around. ESPECIALLY to players who didn't choose to save Chloe.

Lis is very nostalgic and is hard to satisfy fans but my biggest problem is I'm missing Max's personality, i know she's an adult now but she seems like a completely different person. Not corny nerdy pun silly and sweet at all

the 2 weeks early access especially pisses me off so badly. Im not excited for the game at all but I do want to play it and give it a chance but i dont want to spend 80 bucks for it JUST so i can avoid spoilers for the small chance that im actually gonna love the game. Its extremely predatory and we need more people to call them out on it so they can change it.

The problem is that the original devs succeeded in what they set out to do. People who got attached to LiS feel it's complete. It is (kinda amazing to say this about a game) perfect. I can't think of another game I'd say that about and there are plenty I enjoy more and have sunk more hours into, but the value of LiS and the emotional impact it has sinks deep if you get immersed. It's hard to call it an actual game. It's kind of its own thing and that's fucking amazing.
Any sequel is pretty much dead on arrival for most even if you make a billion timelines where every choice is canon. LiS was a self-contained story and experience. Creating a followup of any kind breaks that bubble of perfection and defiles it--not to be dramatic, but just going by definition. This game is a crate of Crash TNT. I'm curious to see if it explodes.

I was honestly severely underwhelmed with the trailer. The reuse of the same plot as the first game is so tired.

i miss the old style and atmosphere. apart from the storytelling, it was what made lis so special ☹️ (ofc plus the soundtrack)

There are so many red flags up here that I am more on the concerned side myself, though I genuinely hope it will succeed and manage to make the majority of the fans happy.

No matter how you feel about Life Is Strange 2, the best thing about it was that it didn't try to be a sequel to Life Is Strange. I mean that in many different ways. Instead of a murder mystery, it's a road trip. You're not max, you don't have powers, you can't undo your mistakes, the story is much more depraved and upsetting than the original, etc. etc. I love Life Is Strange 2 for the exact opposite reasons why I love Life Is Strange 1. I can only hope that wherever this story goes, it's in the opposite direction of the original game.

The way that it's literally the plot of the first game...😭

Just seeing these characters again is like watching at pictures of old friends. I hope we still get along when we meet again.

I think it would be better if they just switched max with another character. Pararell dimension is basically a new power. I'm afraid they just going to ruin it. True colors was the worst in the series bearly used the new power to its potential, and very short it felt empty. I miss the time to theory craft don't nod style.

I agree with Dontnod they had 0% Intent on continuing the story cause there was no need anyone who has played Life Is Strange knows It Is honestly really a movie disguised as a game and the ending to It Is perfect cinema and a bittersweet end to the story It was COMPLETED but I'm not exactly mad at Max being back because grown up max could be cool but I do feel like this game shouldn't honestly exist when you look at the first games ending It was complete but I just hope they make Max still feel like Max and a good enough sequel or this will be debated by the fanbase like The Last Of Us 2

when i saw the trailer during the showcase I didnt even recognize that it was Max and all I thought while watching the trailer was "damn they are trying really hard to copy the LiS1, its sad". LiS2 was this franchise's attempt to diversify its formula and branch out in a bigger anthology franchise, but because it failed we now get "we have LiS1 at home" again and again.
