Let's not forget or overlook the fact that to construct and "decorate" places like Gobekli Tepe would also require a massive amount of cooperation and fairly precise language for proper coordination of effort.

For those who don't know, I felt the need to explain. I live in Turkey Göbekli Tepe is a structure that was deliberately buried by people. There are structures the size of 3 football fields under Göbekli Tepe, but these have not been excavated yet due to current technologies.

If this reaches anyone at History Channel could you do a series on the similar sites we have here in Arizona. We have the same chimney structure from erosion or whatever as well as underground caverns and dwellings here. I'm almost inclined to believe it's world wide and should get more attention.

The city and monuments are of a well developed civilization long before the catastrophic event in my opinion

The comet was also approx same time that an ice dam in what is now eastern Canada ruptured, releasing millions of gallons of fresh water directly into the oceanic conveyor, temporarily shutting it down, lowering temperatures worldwide.

Dr. Martin Sweatman is another wonderful hero of scientifically discovering or uncovering a more accurate and widened version of history.

Fascinating. I appreciate all spending their time and resources to uncover the mysteries of our ancient past. I’m in agreement with many of the comments, the story isn’t quite lining up…the time factor to painstakingly chisel out enormous amounts of rock. Also the precision of the carvings at Gobekli Tepe, not to mention it was deliberately covered over. Awesome are the many people searching, thinking, putting forth theories in an attempt to unravel these marvellous structures! Thank you

I've visited the underground city in Kaymakli, which is just outside Göreme. These underground cities are truly fascinating. The ventilation system was amazing to see. Cappadocia is a gorgeous place. Hopefully COVID will soon subside enough to allow a return visit.

Loved the visuals on this video, but might I add that after a meteor strike the world would be upside down pretty fast, even if it took a month (it took less) how would they have carved these cities with stone tools within that time. Either they knew it was going to happen and prepared ahead of time or they had more advanced technology that was lost/forgotten after that catastrophe.

What kills me is how they keep trying to teach that ancient people were stupid and ignorant when in reality they were anything but, we are indeed a species with amnesia.

4:13 these stones was taken from somewhere else and used to build that entrance. So signs there can mean completely different thing. It`s like to use bricks from old house to build new one.

I put no stock in ice age theory - even with such an occurance. What would they eat? It takes time to do stonework on such scale, and no: work began for another reason, even if later re-purposed. The region of Turkey is an endless fascination: it truly is the crossroads to all nations.
