Imma wait until I see the real-world battery test. "All-day battery life" on my SP7 means 4.5 hours TOPS. If it's really as good as promised, then count me in for a SP8. Love my surface with the exception of its horrific battery life.

As a desktop user who also has a Surface the biggest downside to the Surface and the reason I still have to keep my desktop is that the Surface can only add 2 external monitors. My 7 yr old Dell PC can run 3 very big ones. With the Surface I'd have to use the small Surface monitor as my 3rd monitor which is a significant downgrade to what I've been using for over 10 years.

I am still seeing pen delay in this video unlike apple pencil/ipad and tab s7 plus.
How is the latency respone on SP8, if its the same 9ms as ipad and tab s7 plus then its the best tab because of the windows.

Buyer beware. Considering the cost of these devices, if viable, satisfactory hardware support from Microsoft is a concern to you, then I wouldn't purchase a Surface Pro. Me along with many others experienced a hardware issue with an earlier Surface Pro 4 in which the battery would drain rapidly while the unit was fully shutdown and detached from a power supply (in my case, the device losing 10-20% of its charge per day). Many people, including myself, reported this issue to Microsoft in their community support forums, and Microsoft never provided a viable resolution to this issue (in some cases, they replaced the SP4 with a refurbished unit, but the same battery drainage issue occurred with a number of the refurbished units). If you choose to purchase a Surface Pro, just realize that a lack of viable hardware support from Microsoft is the risk you take for how much money you're choosing to spend on this device. Again, buyer beware.

- Highly disappointed. No USB-A & No Micro SD Card. You do get to dongle everything... Joy!. Add a wanna be Apple taskbar that has lost functionality with Windows 11 with a pen still not as good as the pencil & you almost get a IPad.
- Epic fail Microsoft. Your so focused on being Apple, perhaps you should change your name to "Bananas."
- Seriously, why buy this over a IPad? Because in addition to buying this crap, you need to buy all new peripherals also?
