3:08 A few additional things to help increase insulin sensitivity

In this video, we’re going to talk about the seven things that can help increase insulin sensitivity.

To understand insulin sensitivity, you need to understand insulin resistance. Insulin resistance is a situation where the receptor for insulin in your cells is blocking insulin. It’s not allowing insulin to go into the cells. You don’t have the function that insulin should have normally. Because of this, the body starts putting out more insulin.

Insulin is very important to help regulate the blood sugars and to help with the absorption of nutrients. But, the more insulin resistance you have, the more insulin you’re going to have, and the more problems you’re going to have. For example, in the presence of insulin, you can’t lose weight.

We want to improve insulin resistance by making insulin more sensitive.

Help improve insulin sensitivity naturally by doing these things:

1. Resistance training
2. Fasting
3. Decrease inflammation
4. Reduce glucose (do healthy keto)
5. Increase sleep
6. Decrease stress (cortisol)
7. Consume more vegetables (fiber)

A few additional things to help increase insulin sensitivity:

• Apple cider vinegar
• Cinnamon
• Omega 3
• Vitamin D

I overcame the lies about one egg per week. I eat two per day and my health is improving. This is health education and not just medical information. Kudos

My name is Marwan im an Egyptian
I am a native Arabic speaker, a college graduate and my classical Arabic is so advanced, also the spoken common Arabic of mine is a native level, my English is more than fluent a native like level, with very strong grammar, listening and speaking skills.
i wanna offer to translate your videos on YouTube or any other platforms in Arabic and add subtitles to them, i can easily do that and professionally.

i really like your shows and videos, very informative and educational, even for medicine students in the middle east i wanna spread the word all over the middle east, the whole Arabic speaking world, also that can pretty much be taught to university students as you get to the underlying reason, the bottom line and what's really important and efficient in every story of every disease or medical condition you're talking about.
so give me a chance to do that, sure it will be an amazing chance for me to work for such a great person, working with such an amazing, beneficial and knowledgeable doctor, it will be my great and absolute pleasure, and i will do whatever it takes to satisfy anything i'm asked to do, based on and according to your instructions of course and professional guidelines.

Tulsi or Holy Basil is capable of 3 of those things already.

It could help with blood sugar, it could help with cortisol and cortisol receptor resistance, AND could fight inflammation.

It also may have some hepatoprotective (liver protective) properties

I’ve been fasting and healthy keto for 2 weeks. Straight off the cuff, I’m heaps more relaxed, pain in my lower lumber is nearly gone and my flexibility is improving. My plan is to drop 10 kegs then start resistance training with a Swiss ball and jogging. The first week I had the keto flu, headache wouldn’t go away and i felt crook in the guts even after eating. Stick with it. It works.

Hi all! I’m very grateful to Dr. Berg’s videos, supplements, and his book. Finally, after doing IF and healthy keto, I’ve dropped 7-10 pounds. I believe I was battling a fatty liver and insulin resistance even as a thin person but not so healthy. Wish I had discovered him before this 55th birthday! People, it works!

I guess I did all these things without realizing this is what my body needed to heal:

I started lifting weights, and not even that heavy either 5/ 10 lbs a few days a week
Every night I go usually 14-16 hours without eating which isn’t even that hard if I have dinner at 6 pm, then I’ll usually eat breakfast around 10 am.

I started walking, also I added supplements like turmeric and berberine which help with inflammations and blood glucose regulation.

Stopped drinking liquid sugar, no more juice, Gatorade.

I got real consistent with my sleep. Every night went to bed at the same time within 30 minutes of my bedtime

Took my butt to therapy and managed my stress

Started eating 1-2 servings of high fiber veggies like broccoli, green beans and cauliflower with each meal.

Very strange that the medical community doesn’t talk about this. I guess drug company funded studies are the only thing that make it into medical journals.

Dr Berg. Thank you for your videos. They have been a tremendous help to me. My A1C has dropped from 18.5 in September to 6.3 for my four month check up this past Monday.
