Millions of people experience tinnitus in different degrees, some are louder than others. Tinnitus is the perception of sound when no actual external noise is present. While it is commonly referred to as “ringing in the ears,” tinnitus can manifest many different perceptions of sound, including buzzing, hissing, whistling, swooshing, and clicking. For some, it can lead to insomnia, difficulty with concentration, poor work or school performance, irritability, anxiety, and depression.

I hope and pray that one day, for the first time in my life, we will receive a real cure and I will hear complete silence. That would be a joy beyond all others. That is ALL I WANT, to hear pure silence!!

Bums me out to see over 1M views on this video, in the sense that it just shows how desperate this community is for a cure. Stay strong everyone!

This is amazing. I haven’t had relief in over a year. I have severe TMJ and a lot of ear issues all my life and I am crying right now because I have found relief. Thank you so much all of these were so helpful.

Tinnitus has been my companion for 15 years now and since doing these exercises for a couple of weeks he has calmed down to a whisper. It really has worked wonders. So grateful.

I am 86 years old and got Tinnitus at age of 20 while working in a factory. I have had tinnitus for 66 years. Sounds like standing near a jumbo jet with its engines roaring, whistles, and other noises. It’s never bothered me. The cure for tinnitus is to get it out of your mind. Forget about it and live with it. Have you noticed you are unaware of it when you are doing something interesting? Pay more attention to what you are doing in everyday life rather than dwelling on the sounds your ears make.

I sleep with a fan on, the soothing sound is better than dead silence with ear ringing.

I think what helps with my tinnitus is knowing im not alone and not the only one going through it, its actually comforting to know there are other people that understand and are going through the same thing. Love you guys and lets keep hoping they'll find a cure!

This is what helping people really looks like. Knowledge and understanding of how the body works. Not everything needs medication and medication doesn’t help everything.

I clicked this video mostly because I wanted to check what his advice was. I had some problems with tinnitus for a few weeks some years ago but not anymore. Sadly he didn't mention one thing that was actually helping me a lot. The problem that I had - which I created myself - was how I was positioning my shoulders. There are a lot of nerves running along your shoulders up to your head. And if you constantly put yourself in a bad position where you press your shoulders forward (maybe while using the computer for hours), it can somehow block some of these nerves or put extra pressure on them. After wearing a belt that helps me maintain a healthy shoulder position, the noise that I had for a few weeks in one of my ears was entirely gone from one day to the other. So yeah... consider that this might be one of the reasons that you are often facing waves of tinnitus. Make sure your shoulders are in a healthy position !
I don't know how helpful his tips are - lots of people in the comments seem to praise what he told in this video - but it's a bit sad to see he didn't mention this. Hope I can help a few people by adding this bit of information.

After almost forty years of excruciating tinnitus, that actually causes physical, as well as aural pain, just the time it took to complete these exercises as you went through them, has given me some relief .The only suggestion over the years, was to live with it. The noises are still there, but no longer physical, and much diminished. These will be my daily exercises to try to reduce the screaming bells and whistles, as much as possible. Thank you so much, Dr. Mandell, this has the promise of being a sanity saver.

I suffered with tinnitus for a while, for a few months. Not sure if it is coincidence but after I watched this video and did the things as taught in this video, my tinnitus has been much better starting the next day. Incredible. It is so nice to feel quietness again. Thanks you so much

Reading all these positive comments really has given me hope. I have suffered from hearing loss and has trigger noises in my right ear, but seeing this video and all these people who share the same problem as me have made me feel better. Today I was diagnosed with hearing loss at age 32 but it started in my early 20’s. These will be my daily exercises. Hopefully someday there will be a immediate cure for this problem. Stay strong my friends ♥️🙏🏽
