I'm pretty experienced with using the right stick on Windows. I've used that through Steam before, it'll be totally fine.

And even if Windows 11 doesn't really fit handhelds, it'll still be a good experience for me.

Thanks for mentioning that it can also be a desktop pc, thats my secondary use case as well. I wish folk would stop comparing this to Steam Deck, cuz you cant use it as a desktop machine also (yeah I know it had a Linux desktop environment, but thats crap). Ally X all the way! I subscribed because I liked your style and the ending was hilarious!

The switch might be underpowered man and it was probably underpowered on release, but you can't deny its success. It has a lot of great games and it's probably a big reason we are getting these handheld pcs. The ally X is a beast but its not for everyone for one simple reason. Windows on a handheld is jank. I love my ally X but I guarantee people that don't know how to use windows will be disappointed and return it like they did the original. Windows needs to create a dumbed down mobile OS for people that don't want to tinker. This is where the switch will always win. You simply do one update throw a game in and play. Steamdeck also has a great user experience. It literally takes like 2 to 3 hours before you're in a game on a windows handheld and there are about four different things you need to keep updated. More power isn't always better than user experience. Its really my only complaint, this thing isn't for everyone and they need to make it a better user experience if they want it to be truly successful. The only people that will put up with it are pc gamers for the most part. Cant knock the switch it literally has hundreds of great games.

There's just one thing I want to clarify - how does the CPU compare with something like a Core i9 laptop? I don't game but I'm thinking it might be perfect for music production. Honestly, even if it's only half the power, it will be more than enough to run our backing tracks on stage.

2:22 yes you have access to more games using Windows OS but Windows itself is not optimized for handheld devices. Dual booting this device with Bazzite is a far better experience.

Doesnt even have a kickstand. If you break a controller you have to RMA the whole device. The Legion Go is the best

the problem for me is the fact I got the OG z1 extreme in perfect condition for $300 so its not just a $150 or less price difference, its like at least twice as much, so for me its going to be a pass.
