If the Ally breaks during warranty, it will cost you an arm and a leg to fix it. If you don’t pay them to fix it they will make sure to send it back in non working pieces.

Lack of a proper sleep function on all these Windows handhelds will always keep the Steam Deck at #1 no matter how fast they get. However, there is always a chance we get a proper portable gaming version of Windows or support for Steam OS. (And don’t forget the Steam Decks OLED screen is amazing)

Looks like a decent refresh. Besides the m2 support it looks like they put it on par with the Legion Go. The battery life will probably be better on the ally due to the lower res screen.

Ergonomics is a big deal with these and I've not heard any complaints about the Ally. Durability on the other hand...

I think my issue with ALL of the steam deck competitors is no trackpads, the limited control options that come from NOT having them are so big that every time I play on PC with a controller it feels like a downgrade to the deck. Until one of these major companies adds a GOOD trackpad that can compete with the utility I’ll consider it. But I need my trackpad button wheels.
