Someone give Ari lifetime membership of SUPERNATURAL for free, cause his dishsoap trick just enabled me to do a full 42 min workout nonstop. Goodbye wasting time wiping the lens n face and catching my breat, and goodbye gamecrashes due to headset buggin out when I remove it.
Fucking aces dude! Thank you so much!

Hello! Just a quick tip on headset fog. Everyone is so paranoid about getting the foam full of sweat, when THAT is part of it purpose! It's BREATHABLE AND HAND WASHABLE! I hand wash it using a gentle soap in the sink EVERY night, then squeeze it out well & hang it to dry over night. Keeping that silicone pressed against your sweaty face is the main cause of the fog, & will also cause acne and/or irritation. I've been washing my foam piece daily (or everytime I sweat) for over a yr & a half, and it's still pristine! Just don't squeeze it too hard by the nose part. I work up a big sweat between friggin hot flashes & games. I don't wear glasses in the headset BUT using the spacer gives you a little more airflow. I use a wrap around neck fan most of the time..or a very strong fan on the floor, blowing upwards.
Trust me! There's no need to buy any fancy expensive add ons.
Also > use a 20000mah power bank velcroed to the back of my headset which not only gives me exactly 4 hrs of nonstop play, but since it's 1lb like the headset, it perfect counterbalances it😉
Instead of anti-foam sprays... shaving foam works too. I don't like to use ANYTHING on my lenses tho since it warns against it in the warranty... but it's just another option. I don't need any of that stuff as long as I do all of the above 😉👍

BEST TIP EVER!! I can finally see without that hazy smudge AND no more fogging. Double awesome and just in time. I was going to send the whole unit back because of this and the blurry haze.

Hello fellow SN enthusiast. Thank you so much for this video. I tried the soap trick yesterday, after 3 weeks of always suffering through foggy lenses for the last 2 songs. I was skeptical but getting to the point where I wasn’t enjoying SN as much so I gave the dish soap a try. Oh sweet relief. Thank you so much. Oh - and I also love products from VR cover now - thanks to you as well!

Interesting! I’m a scuba diver, and the way we keep our mask from fogging is dip it into a solution of baby shampoo, rub and rinse, but make sure some of the soap stays on (but not enough to sting). You can’t do that exact procedure with the Oculus, so I haven’t tried using soap. But THANK YOU. i’m getting my bottle of baby shampoo out!

Duuude best video yet! Three thoughts: 1) Holofit's biking looks SO cool!! Underwater!! 2) LOL @ 7:06 3) As a freediver and scuba diver, I have some experience with mask de-foggers, and you're absolutely right that soap works best. I prefer baby shampoo because (a) it works REALLY well, and (b) if you accidentally get some in your eye, it's not a problem. Probably less risk of that in VR, but still, it works REALLY well.

Tried the soap method today (not dish soap, regular liquid soap), AND IT WORKS. Like what the actual ****? How? I played expert songs on beat saber for 40+ minutes and not a single sign of fog. You sir, are a legend. Thank you.

There is a one more thing you havent tried. There's a thing by BOBOVR thats basically a ventilator attached to their custom cover thats supposed to ventilete the inside of a headset.

soap even works on the inside and outside of those optical correction lenses in addition to the headset's lenses. the more lenses, the worse the fog, so it's nice that the fix is cheap.

Thank you.
The soap really does work, and for multiple uses.
I've used mine several times after using the soap method and didn't have to apply it again.
It's fast, cheap and works the best.
Thank you so much.

I just came back here to add to the many THANK YOU! comments on this video. That dish soap is essentially free because who doesn't have some and it worked to keep my headset fog free for the entire workout. Appreciate you doing all those tests lol

Great video! It made me really want to try holofit! I haven’t done a test comparing methods but the hair dryer method works for me even when spending a 40 min workout out pretty much all in heart rate zones 4 and 5 (80-95% of my max HR). Lenses don’t get foggy but sometimes get a little streaky just from the sweat. Obviously, mileage may vary for others. I’d also encourage folks to be careful with the method— if you use the hair dryer too long it can make your silicone cover/lenses hottt rather than pleasantly warm.

Sooo excited to try it out! Supernatural does it every time for me and it’s pretty miserable. Thanks a ton!
