How to Force Update Oculus Quest 2 (Easy Way)

If you are stuck on an older version of the oculus quest 2 firmware here is a quick and easy way to force an update to get you updated.

FWIW it's likely not the fact that you're using a *hotspot* but that by forcing your device onto the hotspot you've dropped off of the IP address assigned by your local wifi and then picked up an IP address from the hotspot, Probably what's happening here is that since Meta is rolling this out slowly, if your home wifi IP address was in a range they're not updating yet, the hotspot IP might be somewhere that they are updating it, or that when you get a new IP address, it checks the server for updates automatically.

So TLDR this might also work if you take your device to another location, like a Starbucks or Library or whatever, and jump on their wifi.

LISTEN. I got my headset LAST NIGHT. and I have been having so many issues with EVERYTHING. every time I fixed one thing another occured. THIS UPDATE THING?! To even get the IDEA to check with the hotspot. Cool! Thanks! Connected from phone. No update appeared. Thought and thought, turned on Canadian VPN - and hooray, it appeared. Left controller does not work in Gravity Sketch. I hope the update will help
