I usually do my meal prep over the weekend, and I’ve been at it for almost two years now. Even as an ex-chef, I’ve learned a lot through trial and error, so here are my top three tips to help you get started! 👇

📝 Tip 1: Prep your lunches
Breakfast and dinner prep is great, but lunches can be a struggle. During a busy workday, it’s easy to end up with an overpriced café meal, a sad supermarket salad, or fast food. Meal-prepping your lunches saves time, money, and stress.

🗒 Tip 2: Write down your recipes
No need to get fancy—just jot down the ingredients. Even if you’re not counting calories, tracking your recipes helps you keep an eye on your macros, and you’ll learn a lot about the nutritional value of your meals. Plus, you’ll end up with a handy collection of go-to recipes.

💪 Tip 3: Don’t overthink it
The key to successful meal prepping is building a habit. Just like working out, you won’t always feel motivated, but sometimes you’ve just got to get it done and fill those boxes. When inspiration strikes, pull out one of your saved recipes. But remember, there’s nothing wrong with sticking to simple, easy-to-make meals that you know you like to eat.
