Thank you thank you….I’ve got several burls ( cherry, maple, oak and red cedar) ready to go and I have been rolling them around to find the best blanks opportunities. Great info just at the right time. Certainly I have lost blanks by sawing all the way through. Never again.

Dude!!! Your my new favorite guy on YouTube man! Lol! I cut a burl off a fell tree the other day, tiny one, bout 8-10" in diameter. Just cuz I'm a 20+year career carpenter! Love woodworking! Always have! Have a psyche masters degree and i never worked a day in the field tho, after my first day of using a chop saw and a nail gun! Lol. So i was just curious what the wood looked like inside, imagined it would be very grainy?? Maybe weak or feeble?? IDK but i certainly didn't expect much.. so very happy to see there's a whole community of burl lovers out there and I'm looking forward to you showing me sum cool stuff man so! I've got a 4 foot wide and completely round white oak burl. Any suggestions how I should cut it? Slabs? Should they be cut up and down or cross? Thank you

Great video, do you have one on how to take a log into a bowl blank? And if you don’t have time to turn green do you end seal etc?
