How to Whip Cream by Hand

My electric was off today and I made some. Didnt use a cold bowl but whisked for roughly 10 mins (with a few breaks). Now, I am stronger than Superman, cuz this is HARD, to actually achieve.

Put your bowl in the freezer for a few minutes before putting cream in it. It helps !

Guys I like to put my whisk and bowl in the freezer overnight and make sure my heavy cream is cold and then start whisking and I put another bowl with ice and salt under my other bowl with heavy cream and I just keep whisking and I get stiff peaks and try whisk it in a circular motion with the whisk touching the bowl because then I will still have a lot of energy :)

try this: whip it for 2 minutes, put it in the fridge, whip it for another 2 minutes


repeat until you get them peaks ;)

managed it quite quickly with double weight cream, good thickness and a lot of arm strength, and you can get it good

Didnt work for me (just watery after ages and ages) until I tried this tip to make Chantilly whipped cream - add a couple of tbsp of caster sugar! Suddenly started to whip up after a few minutes after i added the sugar!

Also guys, don’t try to do a big amount, try with small amounts and keep adding

STOP this madness. You can do this in about a minute by rotating the whisk like a friction fire hand drill.

Use an electric hand mixer on slow to medium setting. Be careful not to over whisk it or it will be ruined.
