Caring for Burned Out and/or Distressed Residents and Faculty Physicians: A Comprehensive Wellness and Suicide Prevention Program for Academic Medical Centers

Sydney Ey, PhD, Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Oregon Health Sciences University, presents a talk about addressing clinician wellness including reduction of burnout and reducing the rate of healthcare provider suicide. Dr. Ey is a psychologist with the Oregon Health Sciences University Resident and Faculty Wellness Program. The goal of this program is to provide an array of services to increase clinician wellness and reduce burnout and distress, thereby facilitating a strong and thriving workforce. The title of her April 20, 2018 Grand Rounds talk is "Caring for Burned Out and/or Distressed Residents and Faculty Physicians: A Comprehensive Wellness and Suicide Prevention Program for Academic Medical Centers."
