45 Min for your Legs & Feet Yoga Class - Five Parks Yoga

If you make it through this class, you get to enjoy a beautiful rainstorm during Savasana. This class had several interruptions while filming, so when I mention moving to splits pose, be aware that there are no splits in this practice!

Begin your practice with the pranayama - 3 part yogic breathing - while you open the hips and inner thighs in reclined butterfly.

Right away, get right into the hips with hip compressions, hamstring stretches and twists, while the howler monkeys talk in the background.

After stretching the spine in cats and cows, strengthen your core in spinal balance before moving into a deep quad stretch in swan pose. Stretch the side of the body, all the way from shoulders, ribs to hip, leg and ankle in one side bend.

Give your toes and ankles the deepest stretch possible with toes pose and ankle stretch. Open three legged do will open the front of the hip before warming up in half splits pose.

Continue to strengthen the core with high plank rocks and cobra pose. Build strength in the legs in chair pose while stretching the backs of the legs in a number of forward folds.

*See if you can spot the outfit change! Ha ha

Crescent lunge dips and warrior two and prayer squat all build leg strength while opening the hips at the same time. Balance in airplane, tree, staff and more. Stretch the legs in seated stretches before happy baby.

Enjoy the rainstorm that comes at the end. Yes, I promised splits pose that were skipped! The rainstorm should make up for it. Namaste.

Hi Erin, thanks so much for this class and all you do. I've been practicing yoga with you for almost 10 years. Forgive me for not writing comments before, as I've never written a comment on any YouTube video before. That's just me.... I experienced a herniated disc a few months ago, and I feel much better, but have been cautious of what yoga and exercise to do while I'm still recovering. My legs and hips have never felt so tight and lacking in flexibility before. This class helped a lot, and I look forward to doing this class again. I learned that poses involving the rounding of the spine / lower back should be avoided for people with disc problems, so I omitted those stretches from my personal practice. Since you asked for requests, I wanted to know if you have any classes focusing on herniated discs / recovery from herniated discs, and if not, if you would be inclined to film one or more. I was born in the U.S. but my family comes from Greece and I live in Greece now. Although, it's my big dream to visit Costa Rica. Maybe our paths will cross there, sometime. You're always welcome in Greece for either a holiday or yoga retreat. Have a great week! Thanks again!

Hello Erin, this one was definitely a challenging one and a hard one but with some balancing between strength and balance and stretch, I will come to it again and this is one will be one of my favorite, thanks for your time you put in filming those practices 🙏
