Increase flexibility in your hips and relieve tension from your lower body with this yin yoga class.

Hi everyone, I'm so excited to be bringing you this 45 minute yin yoga class for hip flexibility! This is a deep stretch yin yoga practice that will focus on increasing mobility in your lower body. We'll be working on your low back pelvic, glutes, hips, thighs and hamstrings.

I'm using two blocks in this class but rest assured you can do the entire practice without props.

Yin yoga is a passive practice where we hold deep stretches for 3-5 minutes. We want to relax our muscles so the effect of the pose can go into our joints and connective tissues. I would say this is an intermediate yin yoga class as it is quite intense but it can always be done by beginner students as long as you modify or reduce the intensity of the stretches.

As a corporate gal and yoga instructor, who sits for long hours and stresses, I store all of my emotions in my hips, so my lower body always carries tension. This was def the release I needed. Kassandra is the Yin Queen!

For me, yin is 10x harder than any vinyasa flow or power yoga video. It's so challenging to be still in the poses. It was good to revisit this style to get myself out of my comfort zone.

Definitely recommend this class! Was worried about the 45 mins length as I usually try to stick under 30 mins but so glad I decided to do it! Not only was it perfect for the lower body but also great for a mental reset! ❤

Kassandra, this is exactly what my body needed today. I really appreciate that you let us meditate during the poses, it adds to the calmness.
I used today a prop that I never used before and that was given to me for Xmas : a yoga wheel ! It helped supporting my chest during dragon, and my head during diamond. I didn't feel doing reclined butterfly, so I did a supported bridge with the wheel instead. Prop adopted !
