You think restaurants are making fresh soup every time they need a batch? Do you know how long soup takes to make? It gets made in advance when the restaurant is closed still and then portioned into bags big enough to not need changed every couple orders but small enough to minimize food waste (because once it's opened and reheated it can only be held at temperature for a specific time before it has to be thrown out according to health codes) and then stored in the walk-in fridge until it is getting close to needed, then reheated in the bag in a bath of boiling water until it is at temperature to safely serve, then put on the line for the employees to have hot soup to serve. As far as fresh goes, if the place you're eating cares at all about health codes and food safety (which should be a number one priority of every restaurant), that soup was made within the last 5 days and was never frozen. It's as fresh as it gets without being home made.

Um, it's called FAST food for a reason. You didn't really think they processed the meat there and cooked it to order did you?

Not surprised by any of this. Worked in IKEA's restaurant 7 years and honestly can't think of anything we actually cooked. Eggs, soups, macaroni, and ribs all came in bags we threw into a bath tub and boiled warm😅

As someone who worked at a restaurant some of this doesn't just happen in fast food. Like the soup while we do make it from scratch, we make it in batches and usually it would last us for at least 4-5 days. We either bag it and freeze, or keep it in a huge container and put it inside the walk-in freezer. Same with sauces and such that can be pre-made and just heated. Same goes for frozen meat, a lot of restaurants opt for boxed frozen meat. Most of the things that usually take longer to make are already pre-prepped that' why you get your meal served in 20m-30m or less in restaurants. Nothing is actually made fresh-fresh. 😂

This just proves that you can have a chef, lawyer, a doctor and the fast food worker all tell you that the food is real and won’t hurt you but because of the way it looks people will still complain

I can't get over how fast Lucas is growing up! With every video, his voice is deeper and he seems bigger and older.

I’m really confused on what people think is happening in fast food restaurants. None of this shocked me.

You guys remember back in like 2016 2015, this channel had a cool intro and a lot of the time it would be teenagers playing horror games like outlast and PT? Ah the good ol days.

People grossed out by the McRib when most of their fast food burgers come in the exact same form: in a frozen puck. They're also sold like this in grocery stores.

It’s funny because as a chef, I’ve seen seen some shit at the HIGH END restaurants. But y’all are surprised at the Panera soup, wait till you learn that the sandwich meat is packed in water and the same thing you get at the grocery store just marked up soooo much

I used to be a baker at Panera. The soups do come in bags from a "Mother" kitchen where they are made in massive batches specifically for panera. I was a baker when i was 18 (now 28) And everything else is prepped in house and all breads and pastries are made that morning and then donated to shelters at the end of the night. I hope they still so it that way.

Obviosly none of these people have worked food service. Everything is shipped in bags or cans.

McDonald's uses actual eggs for the McMuffins and Biscuit sandwiches. The liquid eggs are for the platters.
And I worked at a Burger King at a highway rest stop and a regular location. Those eggs are not made in those microwaves
