What’s your favorite Shortcut you use?

Chris please make a series of “shortcuts for dummies!” I can’t help but think it would be a hit since I keep looking for a detailed introduction to the topic and cannot find one.

I love the shortcuts. That said I wish productivity systems didn’t need tons of different apps: things, drafts, obsidian, etc. there’s something to be said about simplicity. (And not having 15 app subscriptions!)

I only know how to use shortcuts on a fundamental level. You take this to extreme, and I’m glad you have the know-how to set all this stuff up.

Thanks for sharing. I don’t use shortcuts but enjoy learning about them. Blessings on your day.

@ChrisLawley With your video project shortcut for Things 3, can you include checklists (subtasks)? I'm looking to create something similar but now sure if you can automatically populate checklists when you run the shortcut.

How did you do the copy all to clipboard step in obsidian with the rich text shortcut.

Btw my fav shortcut has to do with my phone connecting to my car and start a hotspot and start several apps.

I’m always trying to figure out *when* I should be using a shortcut. I have two recurring emails a week. I have a couple of repeatable tasks, but I don’t know if having a shortcut form would make it any quicker.

Is there a link to download the shortcuts.

Hey Chris.
I've been following your shortcut videos for a long time. Especially for use on the iPad.
I recently bought a Macbook and I still haven't found a way to run the shortcuts on the iPad through the Mac and vice versa.
Do you know if it's possible? If so, could you recommend me related content?
Thank you and congratulations on the content!

Not for iPad, for my iPhone I’ve created “Kansas” and “Oz” that take my phone to black and white and back again, respectively. Helps with phone addiction

Why would you go outside safari to link a page when reading list is a click away?

Can the video project shortuct support headings and sub tasks?

I love shortcuts but find them difficult to make so I only do simple ones. The tech guys on Youtube just assume we are all tech heads and everyone should understand how to make them.

I like your videos but I hate that you never use chapters to help users navigate through the video! You are literally the only major creator I know who does this and it's such a pain to scroll through the whole video and look at previews coz most of the items in your videos are really really common and an average user does not wanna wait for 5 minutes into the video only to see cleanmymac on the list. Please use chapters! Let viewers decide which apps/shortcuts/items they wanna watch! No hate, but its very annoying and honestly makes me wanna close the video
