I made a video a while back on "what I eat in a day for GERD, IBS, Hiatus Hernia | Meals for a sensitive stomach". I wanted to make another video but this time for those with more severe stomach issues, triggers and symptoms. This is an example of what I eat when I'm experiencing acid reflux, heartburn and pain after every meal. If you're experiencing painful gastritis symptoms and looking to start a "gastritis diet", look no further! These meals for GERD are generally alkaline meals and safe for gut problems, a sensitive stomach and IBS

If I’m honest I’m someone who fought with myself about my hiatus hernia and IBS AND gastritis for a good 5 years now (I’m 23) and it has really been a journey… it has had a toll on my mental health as it genuinely feels like a stress cycle (you get stressed these flare up, they flare up you get stressed etc).

For a long time I felt like I was one of the only people who have this especially with people around me, and now everyone knows me as someone with a sensitive stomach. I love all foods, I love spicy and cultural foods and am open to all veggies and proteins. But it saddens me that I have to remind myself to be careful and really take note of what I’m eating and what can potentially flare up my stomach😢. Im just glad that this video and comments remind me that I’m not the only one..💔 it’s tough dealing with your stomach issues especially because you can’t always explain it properly to those around you too, or at least, expect them to understand.

This young lady is right when she says what works for her may not work for you.
I have a Hiatus Hernia and oats cause me a lot of discomfort and so do any vinegars.
I have heard of some people unable to eat garlic too.
Everyone of us are different some can eat tomato some find it agony to eat tomato.
Experiment and listen to your own body.
At night raise your head of the bed or get a good wedge under your pillow at night to keep your stomach lower than your head too.
If you want help see a specialist in this field too.
A Gastroenterologist should be able to find how large your complaint is and remember if you experience extreme pain seek medical help straight away especially if you have a Hiatus Hernia because there are certain types that can be very dangerous.
All the very best to you all finding the correct solution for you.

I have just found your channel. I have gastritis so just beginning my journey to rid or ease my symptoms. I do like the fact that you actually do meals which we can try which is what I have been searching for..All you see on utube are what foods are good or not. Also seeing other people post what's helped them is encouraging..

My go to when I'm having a really tough time is plain pasta with a canola spread and salt reduced cheese. Semolina with honey/jam/pinch of sugar and made with water not milk, is also a good one. I do tend to add canloa spread, which again, not the best, but in small amounts it's okay. And better than butter for the stomach.
These are going to be so much better for me!

Thank you for showing these recipes. I believe in a holistic approach to health issues and stomach issues. Not discounting medicine in its entirety, but diet is so so so important!

Happy New Year to you! Thanks for this very helpful video. So sorry you experience these issues, too, which I can relate to because of having experienced them now for over 35 years and diagnosed these past decades with GERD, diverticulosis, hiatal hernia, and attacks of and surgeries for adhesions-related multiple intestinal obstructions--not fun! :o

The meal types and trigger avoidances you show here are thoughtful as well as familiar to me. My vice is coffee, of which at most I drink maybe 1 1/2 cups a day, often less. But I only use non-dairy creamer, plus unsweetened almond milk. Always have chewable Tums, lactase tablets, long-prescribed pantoprazole and dicyclamine, Metamucil and Tylenol on hand to help my symptoms. I've tried the oat milk which I love, but the citrate found in brands I've discovered, to date, can affect my GERD symptoms. I also swear by the oatmeal, sweet potatoes, etc., along with whole-oat bread, toast, decaf green tea, applesauce, non-citrus fruits like blueberries, dairy-less fruit sorbets, whole grain cereal, and so on. No onion, garlic, pepper, fried or very fatty condiments or food for me. I do use canola oil/butter-combo spread for toast and sandwiches, and often vegetable instead of olive oil for marinating or salads dressing, though. And also vegan/dairy free-cheese, which I soften in microwave and mix in with tuna, chicken, etc., as a great emulsifier in place of mayonnaise which would kill my stomach. And always lots of water as a meal "chaser." Difficult, and often undisciplined at it, you bet... But gotta keep up with it including regular exercise. And a treat can be non-dairy cold-brewed coffee Talenti Sorbetto (in small quantities!). Keep up the good work!!
