I was on Protonix for 11 years and was told I needed to double my dose because it was ceasing to be effective. My daughter in law had begun milking her goats and I began drinking the raw milk. Within 3 months I was off my medication and my stomach was healed from the severe gastritis. I’ve never had to take medication since and it’s been over 7 years.

OMG, I have had GERD since I was in my mid 20's so bad I was throwing up regularly. I was on 2 proton pump inhibitors for years. I started a carnivore diet in February and stopped both my pills in the last month. Last week I was away and had some sugary alcohol drinks and my GERD returned with a vengence, it took about 3 days to calm back down. I cannot believe after all these years ( I am now 58) that I am no longer dependant on the drugs. I've also free from blood pressure medication and have cut my restless leg syndrome pills in half and no longer need pain meds on a regular basis. Thank you soo much Dr. Berry

Bless you for calling out your medical contemporaries on the concept of "doing no harm".
At age 74, I look back at my interactions with mainstream doctors. Almost everyone of them has caused me harm. The Harvard Med school physicians that perjured themselves and lied about their data, have killed MILLIONS of humans (over the last 60 or so years) with the sugar-is-ok-fat-is-bad dogma. Thanks again for telling the truth.

I can attest to this. I have been suffering from an acidic stomach for almost my entire life, since i was a kid its been a trouble for me. Then I suffered ulcer when I have reached my teenage years and controlled it by eating often with in between snacks like biscuits or bread in between every meal. I almost eat 7 times a day for years but still suffer from acidity and gerd. Been suffering from it until I have changed my diet and do Keto. Been on keto now for 6 months and never had an episode of acidity, acid reflux, heart burn or gerd NEVER SINCE KETO. For me its a miracle because I have suffered from it nearly for the entirety of my life. Now Im 54 never felt better. So happy I have learned keto. I eat almost meat

I started keto approximately 6-7 years ago. I used to have heartburn and acid reflux almost every day for YEARS beforehand. I didn't see a doctor for it because I'm very much against big pharma. I had lost all faith in medical practice because and medication many years beforehand.

I had undiagnosed hypothyroidism for twenty years after my oldest son was born, which I finally had diagnosed when I found out that I had thyroid cancer.

After my thyroid and a 6cm (larger than a cue ball) nodule was removed, I thought I might finally be able to lose some weight. (I weighed in around 350) Just as before, I did everything that the doctors said to do, and still couldn't lose weight.

Finally, I decided to have barbaric surgery. I thank God that I was required to take 6 months of nutrition classes before the surgery.

The nutritionists there basically taught keto without calling it keto. Within those six months, I lost 70 pounds. I realized that I didn't need to risk surgery; I could do it on my own.

Something else that I realized, a couple months in, was that my heartburn had gone away. Now, the only time I get heartburn is when I get off track and go back to eating carbs again.

I have told many who suffer from acid reflux and heartburn about my own experience and they typically reply that they have medication for it. (that obviously isn't working if they merely have LESS issues with it)

Thank you so much for posting this video, doc! I now have something concrete to present to my friends, family, and coworkers!

By the way, I lost 170 pounds with keto. After the 6 months of nutrition classes ended, I turned to the internet and found you. I can't thank you enough foe posting all of these life saving videos.

I had a scan a few years ago that showed a hiatal hernia. I had horrible reflux. 2 years keto now and I had the same scan last week. No hernia and my heartburn has almost completely disappeared.

My 13 year old daughter has gastroperisis. He Dr told me to up her fiber and stay away from meat. I told him straight to his face. Gastroperisis causes the stomach to not empty or empty very slow. You want me to stuff her full of fiber which takes the longest to leave the stomach? Then I told him I changed her diet to carnivore. The look on his I said meat leaves the stomach much faster than fiber. Her symptoms are gone. Why would I put her back on fiber, carbs etc. He had no answer. At the end of the visit he said he was going to look into carnivore more. He was amazed she was better. She would vomit all day everyday. It was horrible. 4 years later she's still good!!!! No vomiting. No gerd!

It amazes me how doctors still continue to give the wrong diet guidelines. Thank you for speaking up!

Had my lab test a couple weeks ago and a different doctor was there to review it and was mad because my cholesterol had went up but my hdl came up and low by only 1 point. He told me i need to cut down on meat and eggs and i just shook my head no because everything else was in check my triglycerides went from 230 to 90 and off of all meds metformin, blood pressure meds H1C 5.4 and he acted mad about it lol. Also sodium high by 1 point and told me i need to cut back on salt too. Gotta find a new doctor.

I had terrible GERD, a chronic dry cough as well as sleep apnea. Eliminated all sugar and grains from my diet and all of this stopped in less than a month. No more prilosec, TUMS That was 2015 and have been free of these since then. Currently about 95% carnivore and feeling great.

Doctors tried to get me on a lifetime subscription of pantoprazole this year. Thank God I did my own research and found amazing REAL doctors like you Dr. Berry. I only took it for 1 month and stopped.

At 73 and 185 lbs I was on two PPI’s daily, improved somewhat and lost a bit of weight on keto. Switched to IF (16:8 - 19:5) and ketovore, lost 40 pounds and came off the PPI’s. Now at 74, off all meds. Blood pressure 123/72, A1C 5.2. Mostly carnivore - eat fruit and vegetables very occasionally. GERD only when I eat something sweet. Thank you, Dr. Berry and best wishes for the new wee Berry.

I’ve been carnivore for about a month. My severe gerd is about 98% gone. My diverticulitis is almost gone as well. As of this week, my energy has soared. It’s amazing! Thank you, Dr. Berry. I’m back to enjoying life. Thank you!

I had GERD years ago, and was on one of those awful meds. Told I had to give up coffee, which was unimaginable. This was long before I knew about the benefits of a low-carb diet. But what it did do was stop eating after 9pm; this pretty much resolved my GERD (which wasn’t yet severe). My point is, for those not quite ready to make dietary changes, try changing your eating habits. Do a 12:12 fast schedule, stop eating at least 3 hours before going to bed, minimize snacking.

I had splash of stomach acid in the dead of night when lying particularly on my right side. When I say near death experiences during these splash episodes I’m not kidding. Its a very traumatic experience to be wakened by what’s essentially battery acid hitting the mouth like razor blades
