Fitbit Charge 5: How Turn GPS ON/OFF (Dynamic, Built-In, Phone)

I show you how to turn the GPS mode on or off (3 modes: Dynamic, Built-In, Phone) on the Fitbit Charge 5 Tracker. Note there is another GPS option under some of the exercise that use GPS like Bike, Walk, Run, etc.

I previously used GPS "Dynamic". Twice after completing an exercise (bike, walk), the battery was drained overnight. My iPhone is paired and almost always near my Fitbit Charge 5. I called Fitbit support the second time this happened and they were able to see that the Fitbit GPS drained the battery overnight. They suggested I switch to "Phone" (which may work fine for me). Seems like some software bug. Has anyone else had similar experiences?

The Fitbit Charge 5 is NOT the same thing as a Charge 4 (which you are showing instructions for). Charge 5 does NOT have any Glonass setting!

Do you have issues with the GPS signal dropping during a workout when you use the GPS on the fitbit itself.

You can’t have gps turned off? You done need it on any device on a cross trainer or at the gym…

I HAVE RETURNED (March 2022) FOR A FULL REFUND MY NEW CHARGE 5 after Fitbit support acknowledged FITBIT has been working on a software fix to issues affecting battery life. NO ETA is know for the fix to the software. DO NOT BUY THIS watch until FITBIT comes clear about the fix to the batteries issues which can reduce the expected life from 5 days to 1 1/2 day. BTW, I went back to using my old Charge 2.
