im not ussually a fan of generic crossfit coaches teaching specialized techniques, however this is one of the best dsiplay of coaching from a crossfit coach. bravo!

She does a better job than I am (recently started doing this) but I noticed that professionals at the ‘jerk’ phase, go deeper and then explode with a tiny jump, and during that jump make their stance wider.

thanks. so does the clean and jerk need to go below parallel for it to count? or the weight should just be heavy enough that the lifter needs to go below parallel?

She does it well. If the weight is really heavy lifters dip into a squat, stand up, and then jerk. The real hazard is trying to jerk without smacking the bar off your own chin.

clean= below parallel
power clean= above parallel
usually unless specified you just go as deep as you need to in order to achieve that weight

Clean and jerk work all muscle of your body . it is intense workout form .I just recently try out clean and jerk workout form . I felt great . Still practice to get the prefect form .
