Just now seeing this! There are several things I love about this video: 1) We get to see Olympic-level form and execution from Pope. 2) We get to see a complete novice working their way up to the full execution. 3) We get to see all of the tries and retries and more retries it takes to get the moves right. 4) We have a coach who is not there to stroke the ego, but just to get the novice to focus on perfect form and execution. 5) MEG.KEEPS.TRYING! She keeps taking all of the advice in stride, always with poise and positive self-talk. I could watch this video 100 more times and be way better off than I am when I watch 99% of the ego-stroking crap on lifting available online. Bravo ladies, and I enjoy Max's disciplined approach to coaching. I love seeing form videos with women in them - please keep posting content like this - it helps so many people!

Her coachability and attitude are absolutely outstanding. What a great, great attitude and approach to learning anything.

I truly appreciate seeing some strong AF women in these training videos, because usually I’m seeing men. I’m showing these videos to my daughter, and she loves seeing you both as well. It’s great seeing a beginner and a pro in the same video! Thank you to all!

i like that max doesn't care about being the most polite person out there and just corrects whenever she needs correcting. road to execellency.

I dig her affirmations to herself. "I can do this!" Seems like a very positive individual.

it so frustrating learning the complex lifts for the first time. I'm glad everybody concerned showed patience.

I just really appreciate watching someone get coached like this, and appreciate Meg's persistence and talking through it. Great video for medium beginners like me. Thanks for this!

Great video. It's hard to find instructional videos where the person being taught is strong and coordinated but hasn't actually done the movement before. I have been having a lot of similar problems getting my timing down, etc. and seeing Meg work through that stuff was super helpful.

Great no nonsense coaching, just shows what you can learn in a short space of time and more importantly how to the technique prevents injury as you progress through the weight.

I learned so much by watching her work through the process of learning. Being a beginner is so much fun with the right type of coach. He was patient and helped her minimize mistakes little by little.

Great coaching session! In my 4th month in Crossfit. I followed the whole session with my PVC pipe. According to WODIFY we're doing this in the morning in our Metcon. Because of you guys I feel won'f feel as awkward and lost as i normally do.
A big THANKS to all 3 of you! ;-)

As someone new to weightlifting, this video has been helpful. I'm 55, and the last thing I need is to learn something the wrong way...recovery process from injury is too darn slow...so, the details in this video are a huge help! Thanks!!!

This is good to see for the upcoming Olympics. Now I know what to look for when the athletes are performing this exercise in competition.

I stayed up until nearly one AM in my living room practicing this in front of my laptop. Metcon shoes and boxer shorts, trying to get that hip pop right.

I like how Max has these simple and easy to understand drills that teach you so much. I've been doing it wrong all along

I've watched two of these so far and I'm really impressed with the coaching. I'll be coming back again and again.

I've really been struggling with the technique for this exercise, and there just isn't enough time with the trainer to cover all of the intricacies to a novice like me. This video is extremely helpful, thank you so much for sharing.
