If you pull with your back straight (neutral curve) and chest up, you will have a good clean. The bar will take the nice, smooth path you see with elite lifters—no need to worry about clearing the knees, contact points, etc. (assuming you have the proper start position for your physiology). When I first started out, I overthought everything and my clean was segmented. After learning that one simple aforementioned cue, I had a “pro-looking” clean. It’s really that simple. The same applies for the snatch.

I've been weight training for over 2 years, to include front squats and deadlifts, but I'm interested in adding clean and jerk movements into my routine. Any suggestions on how to implement into a workout routine?

I injured my back so I decided to use clean exercise as therapy.
For me, once the bars @ my belly button I'm under it dropping into rebound stage & standing up...that quick.
All right I'm using old school one inch 6 ft bar 18lbs & a 15 lb plate a side = 48 lbs...flick of the wrist oh it so easy verses power cleaning 135 lbs...@ age 62..

What does someonw like me do who has arthritis in one elbow which limits my ROM in one elbow? For this reason i also never do front squats.

If If you snap less so snatch with a Geiger then well Sciatica says fuck us. Be less careful and speed up not slow. Doc will tell your double Bo Jackson.
