I often spend some time by living in Swiss, very often heard, and said this greetings to many people. But I have never known how to pronounce it correctly. Thanks a million for your lesson.

Hi. I live in Switzerland for 2 months now and the language has been so difficult to understand for me, even though I speak some High German.
I'm so glad I found your chanel and I love the way you teach. It's efficient and fun.
Thank you so much for your work 🙏

I guess it depends where in Switzerland, I lived in the Lauterbrunnen valley for a few months, there they said " Salu" to friends, or "Salu zamme" to a group of friends. I never once heard "hoi". Or they said "Grüssach" (not sure of the spelling) which I think means "Grüss euch". But they tended to say it to anyone who lived in the valley, even to me after they realised I was a guest worker and not a tourist. Its funny because I am English and I started to learn German in Switzerland, so at first I was just picking up Swiss German. But my colleagues persuaded me to learn High German first, although I spoke it with a very strong Swiss accent. After I moved to Germany some even thought I was Swiss.

Hallo! I’ve just gotten back from Switzerland, where I had a very wonderful time. Swiss German is sooo difficult to understand. I wish I had discovered this channel earlier. Anyway, people often said to us “gruetzi mitenan” or something like that… I wonder what the correct spelling is. Thank you!!

Every time I went hiking on the mountains I heard them say "Grueezi" to me but I didn't understand it until now.😀

Swiss is very quickly becoming not a form of German lol.
I spend a lot of time in Züri, and while I am a German speaker, have a very hard time understanding colloquial Swiss. They understand me just fine - Ich spreche Hochdeutsch. But not other way round! Could be Chinese to me lol

Hi! We just moved to Zürich and my 1-year-old started to go to Krippe and started to greet us with "bis mo/mor/mon"? Do you have any idea is that a real word, some swiss for bis morgen or it means nothing? 🙈
