My family have a mini schnauzer cross mini poodle, has a lot of the terrier traits/attitude but barely barks 👌🏼

I’ve had three of them now and absolutely love them so it’s disappointing to see so many negative comments. A few things you need to understand about the breed so they’ll be a good pet is to make sure you’re buying from a reputable breeder! Don’t buy one from a pet store because pet store dogs often come from backyard breeders and puppy mills. They’re also a stubborn breed and very intelligent so you need to have some understanding of how to train dogs so they don’t walk all over you. Socializing them from the beginning is also important so they’re calmer in many situations cutting down on the barking. Exercise also helps with that.

Here in inner Brisbane, this breed is very popular.
They are highly neurotic and prone to pancreatitis . My neighbour's pair bark when I pull toilet paper off the roll or open my back door.
Like any dog they are not suited to slack owners who want substitute children.

What is the best dog for people that are disabled and just want to cuddle and let the dog out to potty? Not so much go on 5 mile walks.

My standard schnauzer is tooo noisy. Way too much barking compared to my english bull terrier. Schnauzer has it's pros, very obedient and easy to handle, but not human friendly. Only loves members of family. On the other hand bullterrier is super friendly with any human. Some breeds are more suitable for some people. My breed is bullterrier ❤

100% disagree with the fact that miniature schnauzers make great pets. They are yapping and they are known to bite - I would never recommend the breed.

My mum had one....completely neurotic and yapped, and yapped, and yapped, and yapped. Detested that dog
