Why Your Lats AREN'T Growing (GROW A BIG WIDE BACK!)

Ready to get big + wide lats? This video will cover exactly why your lats aren’t growing and it comes down to 3 key points where most peoples form breaks down (fully stretched position, fully contracted and position/angle of their body)

I’ve talked a lot about how you should keep that elbow in a fixed position to really activate and engage those lats but I got tagged in a lot of instagram posts that made me realize that I need to go into even further detail because some of the lat pulldowns I saw were nauseating. So I broke down the three most common areas where people tend to lose the movement (lat pulldowns & pull-ups) and it actually ends up working out an entirely different muscle.

Let me know what you think and if you want even more detail on the pullovers and one arm rows (when I’m not as sick)

I definitely need wider lats. If I'm not looking like a flying squirrel when I open my arms, then I'm not satisfied.

I started doing lat pull downs like at 2:45 about 8-9 months ago and holy damn, I finally feel the movement and exhaustion in my lats. Great advice

This guy flat-out has the best channel on Youtube for weight lifting techniques/advice. He's to the point, explains his principles clearly, and has the build to back up everything he's saying. Plus, he makes me laugh throughout every video. Keep up the good work Ryan!

"You have horrible decision making skills"... Yeah, that's what my probation officer keeps telling me.

Why would anyone disavow training tips from someone who looks like Ryan? I follow his advice all the time, and I get results. And I'm 59 years old. Keep up the good work.

Ryan is actually hilarious! Love the dead-pan comedy approach that some may not even get. Good stuff!

Literally went to the gym yesterday and realized my brother's bar was touching his chest during the lat pulldown and it wasn't happening to me. Really appreciate knowing why that's the case thanks to you man. To a gainfull new year 💪🏼, all the way from Trinidad 🇹🇹🎉

Side view of your Lat Pulldowns looks like a Nautilus Pullover. Driving with the elbows. Great video!

It almost took me doing your back routine a few weeks to “practice” the movements. Wasn’t engaging the lats too much at first but the last two weeks have been killer.

A video on barbell pullovers and 1 arm rows would be great. Hope you feel better soon, Ryan.
