Repentance is when you feel remorse of doing wrong and against what would have been right in the course of love. Forgiveness is a gift from the other person, but if you are the one in need to forgive, don't forget to include that same grace to yourself.

Repentance is important and if your heart is in it, you won't want to repeat that sin or mistake over again.
Even if it is a hard hurdle, or even many to jump past, God knows no impossible thing.
He is with you and never left you. He is just waiting for you to let Him step in.

Going to confession is vital, think of it like you are sick, and you have to go to the doctor to heal safely. The doctor (the priest) will give you advice on how to stop that sin (how to stop getting sick).
