The more you insist you are right, the more ashamed you are when you are proven wrong.

I never thought that professional sports exist purely to provide people the opportunity to engage in their Dunning-Kruger effect... but I think I always felt it. Thank you for articulating that :)

Keep learning and studying new stuffs and stuffs we think we know. It's the key not to fall into the trap of Dunning-Kruger effect. Perfect video. Thank you very much,

I do know quite a bit but there's more that I don't know but I'm open to learning. I know a little about coin collecting and various things but I'm nowhere near an expert or authority. I keep the student mentality. Arrogance is worse than ignorance. Some people are stupid, some are ignorant and some are both. This video is pretty good and a good amount of useful content was put in to a relatively short video.

The team and Coach always knows more . The fans seem to have a lot to say about the players and how they play the game of football. The Coach is really the man with the inside knowledge 💯 of his team. He knows their weaknesses and their strengths.

Thinking your right all the time and never admitting your wrong is arrogant and true stupidity.

Dunning Kruger effect is affected by Dunning Kruger effect.

Beside, it's likely a statistical artifact.

The majority of the time, I believe I am correct in choosing to stay silent. Staying silent prevents others from realizing how much I may not know.

Everyone can sing it’s just whether it’s “marketable” or not

Certainly this increased the curiosity to know more.

The Dunning Kruger effect is super common in sports. Fans that never played at a high level think they know more than a head coach that’s dedicated their life to the game.

As a precocious reader with myriad interests and an insatiable appetite to learn, I learned early on how I learned, what motivated me, AND that there wasn’t enough lifetimes to learn all I wanted to. I’m now 60, still curious and learning about new AND old things every day. Most folks see me as a classic underachiever. I see me as grounded and confident in what makes ME happy and define my success thusly.

very nice chart visualizing learning progress curve! And video is very concise. PS: Though i DO NOT like this kind of videos with drawings (just my personal preference), i did like this one.

Alot of people think they no more then they realy do. They even make videos. Its apart of how they think.

I know what I don't know, thats because I know that I don't know anything, and since I know that I don't know anything I therefore know everything...

Sadly, I see this effect more each day. Especially on the news. Particularly with…dare I say …republican trump supporters. I don’t mean to be political, but politics today demonstrate this effect most accurately. Those who follow sports are, if possible, worse than those who think they understand politics.

I am an artist and art teacher. Too many with little to no training, believe they are artists and don’t need to know how to draw or paint. It is discouraging. I have been a professional artist over forty years and admit there is more to learn and I learn something new most every day. Especially when I teach others.

I understand people WANT to believe they know more. But demonstrate their stupidity more often than not.
