Microsoft Surface: We travel with a Microsoft Surface everywhere we go. I edit my videos on it & use it to backup my pictures and vides while we travel. It’s light and the best travel laptop on the market in my opinion.

Lights: Mount Dog 18’ Ring Light Kit. It will light up your filming space so your videos will look clearer and film better. We started using it and it makes all the difference.

Sony Alpha Camera: We use Sony Alpha series cameras to film our videos. They are compact so you don’t look like a super tourist when you take great pictures and videos while you film on location.

Manfrotto Tripod: We use Manfrotto Tripods. They are compact, travel well, and honestly I would not use another tripod for my nice cameras.

“.., but marketing is so much more than trying to get people to buy stuff.” Yes but having the skills to actually “sell stuff” keeps the doors open and pays everyone’s salary. That’s why the sales team is always the highest compensated group in the company.

I’ve heard the $250 flight vs. $1000 flight example a couple of times but in my experience that’s an outlier with an obvious outcome. More common would be $1000 vs. $900 or $1000 direct vs. $750 multiple connections with long layovers. That’s when I have to make a value decision.

And finally when I am confronted with an awesome choice of beer options I always go with the ones I’ve never had. 🍺👍

According to my perception, marketing major is the best major to study in order to acquire the skills to do whatever one wants to do in the business world.

How useful is Capitalism II (simulation game) as a marketing education tool? It seems to cover the 4 Ps in its strategies. It might be more comprehensive than even marketing--manufacturing supply chains (to buy from others or go vertical, etc.) Cheers!
