I’m not surprised at the decline in marriage as we are in the last days it coincides with the moral decaying of society. Everything that is Godly and righteous is now being portrayed as bad, old fashioned or unnecessary. Marriage, two parent household etc….God’s designs are under attack. I still believe marriage is honorable and worthwhile and I think God is faithful, we just have to trust His process on waiting for who He sends.

I was married 10yrs and I've been divorced for 10yrs I was more lonely married than single he was there physically but mentally depressed from unhealed issues. I've had more peace being single. I'm not against marriage but if I ever do it again the person has to be healed and integral with accountability and devoted to The Lord anything outside of that is a no for me

This helps because I've been thinking marriage is inconvenient because it affects your finances, freedom and everything else. But he's right there are trade offs, and a good marriage is a blessing.

This is so true, Marriage is a beautiful thing. My husband passed away 4 years ago. He wasn't perfect, but he was my best friend, It's the little things you miss. It's a different breed out here. But I'm waiting on my man of God!!

Personally I'd love to be married, but 3/4ths of the people I know that are married seem very unhappy. Moreover every summer I get a close to 7 or 8 baby shower invitations. Maybe 2 graduation invitations, but not one wedding invitation. So marriage does seem to be getting played out.

Based on my observations I believe the majority of people really desire to be married, but dislike the fact that it means that they’ll NEED to put continuous effort in themselves. One will need to introspect and face their weaknesses, traumas, etc. and put work into it.
We live in a world of convenience and don’t want to put work into things so it’s a lot less hurtful to say we simply “don’t want “ marriage then to admit we don’t want to work for it.
