LIFE DOMAIN CLERIC Build Guide: Baldur's Gate 3

Here is a strong LIFE DOMAIN CLERIC Build Guide in Baldur's Gate 3! Following up after my cleric spelled tearless video from earlier, here is a life domain cleric which was requested the other day. This is what I had shadowheart specced as on my first play through, but I just want to take you through my thought process when doing this class as well as some really great gear options that make this very powerful. My personal favorite type of cleric is the Tempest cleric, but you can have a lot of luck with the life domain as it is a cleric at the end of the day, so that means it's strong at a lot of things.

One thing about life clerics that I don't see people taking advantage of enough: Throwing healing potions. Especially for act 1 this is probably the most efficient action any class has access to. The game doesn't have any healing cantrip, but if you plan a little ahead you can easily hit 3 of your party members with a healing potion throw, which you should have a basically unlimited number of if you loot around. For a single action you get 3x blade wards (3 full actions), bless on 3 targets (1 action and a lvl 1 spell slot), the healing from the potion itself + healing from your subclass + healing from Ring of Salving + extra HP from Boots of Aid and Comfort. Super efficient, and can massively reduce the need for resting

Something you forgot to mention: Once you've prepared your 4 wizard spells using the circlet of intelligence, you can remove the circlet and keep your 4 spells. You will still lose the intelligence bonus on rolls, so it's better to do this with utility spells, but it's always good to know that you can have 3 free extra spells just like that. Personally I use these slots for summoning spells and remove curse.
Another huge advantage of Devas is that their revivify spell can be used on some NPCs. You can for example use it to resurrect any fallen Gondians in the Steelwatch foundry.

This is also an excellent subclass to wield Phalar Aluve. Being able to respec for Dexterity will also be useful to improve turn order, as I find the Life Domain either wants to go first or dead last (depending on preference.) Also, Gale can become an ideal Life Cleric if you plan on having him Concentrate often. In Act 2 if you have him cleanse a ritual circle, he gains permanent Advantage on Concentration Saving Throws.

I'm so happy to see this build being showcased, I absolutely love playing it :) Never really thought about doing a level in wizard, I tried a full level 12 initially but I think the shield spell with the armour could be busted. I'm looking to try an honour run with a life cleric and the guide should help a ton :D

Actually at L10 in Act 3 and headed toward a 8 Life Cleric / 4 Evocation Wiz (Ice) to heal and buff efficiently and complement my Draconic Ice Sorc in delivering Ice + Radiant dmg. Stats at L10: 16 Dex+Con, 17 Int (headband) + 18 Wis. Heavy armor, shield, +9 initiative w/ Alert, 21 AC (w/ equipment). 4 in Wiz w/ 17 Int gives 7 very useful utility + dmg (+ elemental summoning) Wiz slots + you get 3 feats. Evo gives Sculpt Spells to avoid friendly fire. Works perfect at L10.

Alert is vital for this build, especially if you have 10 dex. I hate when my team go last, takes so much unwanted dmg. Besides dex based class i think having alert on everybody is just vital

I Make all camp companions life cleric with durable and tough feats then exploit warding bond and healing; never have to do long rests
