Armored Healbot! | Life Cleric Class Build | Shadowheart Respec Tips

In this video I want to share my ideas with you about what I affectionately call the Armored Healbot build - it works great for your Main character, hirelings or perhaps Shadowheart as a companion respec! Basically the idea is to make your Healbot as resilient as possible while healing the rest of your party and keeping them alive through difficult encounters and boss fights, especially on Tactician Mode difficulty!

If your Healbot turns out anything like my Shadowheart, you won't ever be able to remove them from the party and they'll very often be your MVP in combat encounters!

Reminder, you can swap prepared spells for free at any time outside of combat. Spells that last until long-rest (or longer) such as Warding Bond, Mage Armor, Spiritual Weapon, or Find Familiar can be slotted in outside of combat, cast, and then slotted back out again

Before seeing this I respec'd Shadowheart last night to a Life Cleric. My party had just made level 4. I didn't feel Light fit with her being a Shar follower lol. But also wanted a heavy armor healer. And this really fits the bill. Some great insights here that I will look at for her. I wound up taking the Heavy Armor Master at level 4 as I had also set her Str to 13. I might do Ability bonus next time, or Warcaster as I can see her casting buffs and protections that need concentration. Thanks for the great video!!

I believe that not mentioning glyph of warding is a severe detriment to any cleric build. This spell is amazing for not only crowd control but knockbacks and damage.

Great breakdown. One easy thing to add would be a Transmuter Stone from a Lvl 6 Alchemist to help with concentration saving throws. Just needs to sit in your inventory to be active.

I'll definitely give this a try but there's so many cool Shadowheart respec options that it's hard to just stay on one 😅 currently doing a X Tempest Cleric/2 Vengeance Paladin for her and it's nice that she is able to cast support spells alot but still do crazy damage with her domain spells.

Sacred flame... EVERY SINGLE time i've used this, ennemies ALWAYS get their saving throws. Quite Useless.

I made my shadow heart a full healer with max Dex; threw a bow on her and archery gloves and she's a beast now.

great little guide thank you, stick the divine intervetion mace on her and just pump heals. however I would be amiss not to mention that both light and tempest domain are in this game! so If you get tired of healing (while still being able to), swich to one of those and your cleric will out dps any wizard while still being tanky. also warning for warding bond yes it gives resistance but if you bond 2 chars they basically just divide the damage between themselves, so maybe don't tether your wizard to your barb

wapira crown, healer get 1-6 hp every time she heals and you get them out of a bag zevlor gves you after killing the goblin camp leaders, gives a nice pair of starter healing gloves as well.

Not mentioning Staff of Arcane Blessing is a crime! Making bless a 2d4 and adding it to spell attack is huge. Not to mention you can cast it then cast another concentration spell and still get the bonus of bless.

best feat combo for this build imo would be 2x ASI ( wis ) and the last one either Resilent ( con ) or Warcaster .... with the way Larian implemented Warcaster i think Resilent has a slight edge
+ the job of a healer in DnD 5e is not to top up the health of others, thats not possibile
the best way to play a healer is doing damage and pick up others, that are dropped to 0 HP

in my opinion blood of lothander is best for shadowheart its better than the legendary spears she gets to, plus a free lvl 6 sunbeam every long rest love running that on SH.

with low INT the fire bolt will miss all the time.
