Engine oil is the life blood of your KTM, Husqvarna, or GasGas and changing it is the single-most important maintenance procedure you can perform to ensure your engine stays healthy for many rides to come. In this video, Charles shows how to change the engine oil and filter on a 2023 Husqvarna FX 350, but this process will be the same for other KTM, Husqvarna, and GasGas 250 and 350 4 stroke motorcycles.

There's a good amount of oil that you can also drain out from the Hex key bolt that's right in front of the main oil drain bolt.

Quick question: At 2:36 you are torquing to 14.8 foot pounds. How are you measuring this? I can't seem to find a 13mm shallow enough to fit in that spot with a torque wrench.

Hey i have a gas gas ex350f 2023 just picked it up. I have an hour meter on the way. I have hardly rode it just in the yard. How many hrs for the first change? i was told one hour by the dealership? And also can you change filter every other change if you change every 5 hrs?

Was looking at your video and seemed that you did not follow exactly the procedure thats in the owners manual of my 2018 350, downloaded the manual for 2023 and that says the same as my 2018 manual. Before installing oil filter lay the bike on the side, fill the oil filter housing 1/3 and then install the filter.
Do you think it makes any difference? I figured that filling the filter housing reduces air in the system on first startup.
For oil screen install they also have a better recommendation there. For 350 both manuals (2018 and 2023) give capacity 1L so there is no need to mess up a measuring jug if you already have 1l oil bottles anyway. I like Castrol ones best as they already come with built in spout so I don't even need a funnel.

To see the oil level the bike needs to be on the side kickstand or straight?

So the manual for this bike says you missed a very important step. Husqvarna, KTM and such say you need to lay the bike on it's side. Half(ish) fill the oil filter cavity with the oil filter in it. Secure the cap and stand the bike backup and fill crankcase with oil. What you have shown here is an incomplete oil change missing out a critical procedure called out by the manufacturer to stop the top end running with no oil when you first start the bike after an oil change. A you a certified mechanic? If so why did you miss out the critical step? I hope folks understand your advice was bad and that they need to add this step.
