It's great to have someone with your medical knowledge and abilities testing and analyzing play by play results of the carnivore way of eating. Actual proof really helps me in my decision to go forward with this, just a week under my belt right now. I am going to start adding liver to the mix today to fill in the gaps of necessary nutrients and vitamins. Thanks for your dedication and time in doing a VERY thorough test of this process and the benefits of it so far.
Cheerz!

NONPATHOLOGICAL. Such a great word. THANK YOU for being you and for being so clear, so generous, and so thoughtful.

Hi doc, new subscriber here. To me, you raised exponentially in credibility when I confirmed your linked material is a meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials. This sets you apart from all the quacks that love to cite crappy observational studies.

Thank you so much for answering this question about protein and kidneys. I hear that myth a lot and was beginning to have concerns about my choice to eat Carnivore.

Hi Doc. Like these short videos. Don't always have time to watch for to long, and better for when I want to share the message.

When I was looking into diets for epilepsy the medical literature stated that keto diets have a side effect of kidney stones. Most people were not allowed to do keto unless first supervised in a hospital when beginning the diet and then they had to have frequent blood work. Most side effects wouldn't show up in the first 3 months. The Arctic Circle indigenous people (eskimo's etc.) developed a mutation that doesn't allow them to go into ketosis yet people always use them as an example of how healthy a fat/meat diet is for non-Arctic peoples. I'm glad this diet gets people off of junk and vegan diets but it seems ridiculous to sustain long term unless you have a real medical condition that it helps.

I had a creatinine level of 1.88. ik 33 and it great. I work out daily and feel great. My doc ordered an ultrasound and all functions came back fine. Going to do another test in a couple weeks.

Yep. It’s never been a concern for me - though I’ve heard there may be issues for people that already have kidney disease.

I would argue... with impaired kidney function it can affect their function. I saw my albumin/creatine levels increase with increased protein consumption. When I reduced intake it declined.

I appreciate the information you presented here but you are young and healthy. How will the Carnivore Diet affect someone who is old and diabetic? One size doesn't fit all or, in this case, does it?

I'm not worried about it for myself, but a friend of mine has a history of cancer, and had a kidney removed. Would folks like him with reduced kidney capacity need to be careful with protein intake wherein most don't?

Can you do a video about carnivore and it's affect on the liver too?

So the protein does not damage healthy kidneys. But if you already have kidney disease, is it safe to consume large amounts of protein?

Hey Doc, red meat is listed as a contributor to gout because of purines. Can you address this for me?
