The scene, the CGI, sound effects, music and the actors performances are outstanding!! I absolutely loved Hayden's "I HATE YOU!"

I remember watching this as a seven-year old on opening night. My mind was blown away by the CGI, sound effects, music, and the fighting skills displayed by Hayden and Ewan. I still remember the crowd being all anxious throughout the duel waiting to see how did Anakin become the masked Darth Vader? We all had theories but no one saw what was about to happen. When Anakin’s legs got sliced off, the theater was DEAD QUIET. Everyone had the whole “what just happened” look on their faces. And once Anakin burned, everyone gasped in horror because it all came full-circle. That’s how Darth Vader got his scars and why he needed the suit to survive. Truly an experience I will never forget!

The dark side was impairing Anakin's judgement and emotions and it blinded him to arrogance. It finally took hold of him when his eyes turned a deep red and yellow as he screamed at Obi Wan "I hate you" with pure rage and anger.

1:16 - 1:45 The way they're staring at each other in this scene, the way Anakin says "This is the end for you my Master", the way Obi-Wan almost kind of braces himself for what he has to do, the music picking up, this small moment hits different. I genuinely love it and this small segment is one of the most memorable parts of the Mustafar duel for me.

people harp on lucas dialogue and maybe its just the delivery from ewan but the final exchange on the lava bank is flawless

I find that pretty ironic because "we" as the audience know that Anakin did eventually destroyed the Sith in the future in the event of Return of the Jedi since he redeemed himself and chose to save his son Luke from Palpatine when he threw the Sith Lord down the shaft. So he did fulfilled his destiny and made a redemption in the end.

What a scene man! Everything is 10/10, acting, effects, CGI, atmosphere, etc, etc... It's so heartbreaking watching Anakin's fall and Obi-Wan's disappointment and the tears in his eyes..!
