*144, 000* - There is the literal meaning of scripture, the meaning the author is conveying, and the _literalist_ understanding, what the words on their own mean. Revelation is full of imagery. If one is going to take the 144, 000 in a literalist meaning, one should be consistent and do so with the surrounding text, especially the description of these 144, 000 as celibate Jewish males taken from a square shaped earth that are now in heaven worshipping a sheep. Interesting that WT is not consistent.

*Increasing Light* - In context, these bible verses refer to the righteous imitating God and growing in holiness. Has nothing to do with Watchtower 1900+ years later and their support for doctrinal changes:

_14 Do not enter the path of the wicked, and do not walk in the way of evil men …. 17 For they eat the bread of wickedness and drink the wine of violence. 18 But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until full day.19 The way of the wicked is like deep darkness; they do not know over what they stumble._ (Prov 4)

_Oh send out thy light and thy truth; let them lead me, let them bring me to thy holy hill and to thy dwelling!_ (Ps 43:3)

_Light dawns for the righteous, and joy for the upright in heart_ (Ps 97:11)

None the verses have anything to do with new light leading to doctrinal changes. Watchtower makes Jesus Christ out to be undependable and a liar. Rather, scripture says:

Christ is the head of his Church. (Col 1: 18)
Christ''s Church is the pillar of truth (1 Tim 3: 15)
Christ's Church is the bulwark of truth. (1 Tim 3: 15)
Christ's Church is where the manifold wisdom of God is made known. (Eph 3: 10)
Christ PROMISED to lead it to ALL Truth. (Jn 16: 13)
Christ PROMISED that he would NEVER leave it. (Mt 28: 20)
Christ PROMISED that the gates of hell would not prevail (it will not teach doctrinal error, needing correction by 8 men in New York; Mt 16: 18)

The kingdom is like a tree. Gentiles are like wild branches grafted into the tree to replace Jews that were lopped off. Isaiah 6:13 speaks of a tree that is cut down, representing the Jews that were lopped off. But note the root is allowed to remain. So the Jewish tree is cut down and replaced by gentiles. But a remnant of the Jews remain in the kingdom.

The 144, 000 are Jews from the 12 tribes of Israel, 12, 000 from each tribe. So the 144, 000 is this holy root. Per Isaiah 6:13, this holy root is equivalent to one-tenth of the entire tree.

So in conclusion, the 144, 000 are the holy root making up one-tenth of the tree. So the total number in the kingdom of priests is actually 1, 440, 000.

Now standing before the throne does not mean they are in heaven literally. Christ and the king-priests are on the earth during the millennium. Thus the great crowd is also on the earth.

Now please note after Satan is destroyed in the lake of fire, Judgment Day takes place. The first who are judged are the dead, the great and the small. These are the great crowd and their children who were not killed during Satan's rebellion. Then the second resurrection takes place. All the dead, the righteous and the unrighteous come to life and are judged. That means there is no resurrection of anyone during the millennium as Jehovah's Witnesses falsely teach.

The Kingdom Interlinear Translation of the Greek Scriptures, Rev 5:10. Check out the Greek side to the English side for the word, upon in Greek has been changed to over in English . Reigning upon the Earth (144, 000) is what the Greek side says.

Simply put the 144, 000 represent a signified number as it says in Revelation 1. 12 months a year 12 manner of fruits multiples 144 born in a day (1, 000) with the lord. Be fruitful (born again of the incorruptible seed and multiply.

one thing we learn from revelation 7 is that the 144000 come out of the tribes it does not say they total or are the total of each tribe and it does not say that only 144000 are to be sealed. But the 144000 are the only ones who will be with Jesus wherever he is to be they will be there . they will rule with Jesus and be priests. But the 144000 are not the sum total of Israel

Revelation 11:13
13 In that hour there was a great earthquake, and a ((tenth of the city)) fell; and [7, 000 persons] were killed by the earthquake, and the rest became frightened and gave glory to the God of heaven.

The tenth of the city is ((10%)) out of the 144, 000 total= which is symbolized by ((14, 400)) or a [[remnant]] who fell away in death.

1st kings 19:18

Those of the remnant who didn't receive the mark or worship other gods became loyal till death.

Revelation is written in a symbolical manner. For example, the beast that comes out of many waters in Chap. 13 has seven heads and ten crowns on ten horns...Is this literal?
Virgin men not defiled with women... Like the 10 virgins 5 wise and 5 foolish, are they all women? It is talking about men or women that had not defiled themselves with other gods. You need to understand the language of the Bible.
The 144, 000 is a numerical symbolical description of the Bride of Christ (Rev. 21). Ask the Holy Spirit to open your mind to understand Scripture. God bless you.

The Apostle Peter and Paul was writing letters to the congregations before the Gospels were ever written. By about 70 AD they were executed and Jerusalem was destroyed. As long as the Apostle John was alive they believed Jesus was returning. But about 25 or 30 years later John received Revelation for the congregations. John probably was the Q source for the Gospels because he was an eyewitness to all about 70 AD.

Jesus had 12 disciples the two witnesses should have 144, 000 but they are nowhere to be found except the posers. The real ones would recognize and want seals and songs.

John the revelator is one of the end time Elijahs two witnesses. He got called to do it, God doesnt change His mind. He got all the equipment, saw heaven open, ate the little book . met the 24 elders and angels singing in heaven, saw the animals crying, and John shows up in the whole book of revelation at the beginning to the end.

They are both the multiplier dividers the end time Josephs there are other tribes mentioned.
