My husband grew up in JW home. He told his parents at 18 that he had some questions about the religion and that his heart was telling him it wasn’t right. They kicked him out excommunicated him and his mom and dad and 5 siblings haven’t spoken to him since. He’s now 37 years old. He came to know Christ the one true Living God through me and my family and by going to church and studying the Bible.

Thank you so much for discussing this. As a former witness who was in the organization for 19 years, these are questions and conflicts with teachings that others begin to have and the organization calls it "doubts" and when we question it, we're called apostates. They teach that when Jesus came to earth he started gathering the 144, 000. If that is the case after 2, 000 years later there wouldn't be anyone of the 144, 000 left on earth today as that number surely would have been reached with the first century Christians after Jesus death. I've been away from the organization since 2006 and the number of the "remnant" (the remaining ones of the 144, 000) continues to grows instead of decreasing. They blame it on some having a mental illness and imagining they are one of the "anointed" when they really aren't. So basically, anyone can say they are of the 144, 000 you can't question it. I truly thank God for reveal proper doctrine and theology to me.

I used to attend to a Jehovah witness church, but I never go baptize. They have so much rules and regulations. They where friendly, helpful, and caring people. The part I did not like I could not donate blood. I am glad I received Jesus as my Savior and i am new born Christian

I usually tell them respectfully that I'm not interested in joining a faith that only offers a second-tier salvation since the 144, 000 tickets to heaven are sold out! 😉

If they really read the Bible they would read that they are from the 12 tribes of Israel, which makes them Jews. If they read more, they would read that these 144, 000 will be here during the tribulation to bring people to God.

I was born raised and baptized as a JW. And the things I learned there made me resent religion. When I let at 17 I was atheist. Something woke up in me a couple years ago. I was filled with a desire to learned about the Bible free from and JW propaganda and reading materials. I'm not perfect. I struggle like any other Christian. Sometimes I feel so bad some nights all I can do is pray through my tears for forgiveness. Despite my struggles with sin I feel so much better and closer to God. JWs as a whole take away the personal relationship with God and replaces it with the Organization. The governing body has made themselves mediators between God and Man and it was never their right to do so. You have to jump through hoops to be looked at as having good standing with God. If you don't try to move up, go door to door as often as you can, make sure your kids grow up socially impotent or blindly Believe doctrine that cannot be found in the Bible you will be treated like a stranger by "friends and family"

My best friends family were JW's. They excommunicated Matthew and the teachings caused him a lot of confusion which I believe played a big part in him committing suicide. I love, Matt and I feel really sad that he couldn't find his way to the truth. I don't want to talk down about his family but I wish they were walking in the light instead of the darkness

What a lot of people don't know about JW is that they think Jesus is the Archangel Michael. That helps explain why they are so crazy.
