How To Fix The Sound Cutting Out On An Android Phone
Having owned a Samsung S7 for about a month I noticed the sound kept cutting out on the internal speaker. There was no issues when using headphone. Here's a fix that seems to work for me.

OMG. It worked. This video is almost 4 years old (2017) and this worked for my Galaxy A71 this September 23, 2021. I'm so happy.

I couldn't find "easy mute", but the "prevent usb audio routing" alone seems to have fixed the problem.

I tried it and it worked right after doing these fixes on the phone. Hopefully it will keep working. I've had this phone for a few years so I'm not quite sure why is started to cut out like that.

I believe the problem is the USB port has a short causing it to think a USB audio device is plugged in. With my phone, for example, this problem would begin occurring when I laid my phone down while audio was playing.. and eventually it'd resolve itself, until it came back.
This definitely worked great for me. Galaxy s7. Thank you.

Mine does this, but only during phone calls, either they can't hear me, or I can't hear them, sometimes it comes back in, sometimes we have to call each other back and wait till it does it again 😒

First, try simply restarting your device.
Turn off audio routing like shown in the video.
And delete any third-party apps that were recently downloaded that might've caused this issue.
This FINALLY worked for me 🙏😅

Thanks a lot!!!! I have tried almost everything - cleaning speakers, restarting, plugging vs unplugging original headphones from audio jack, disabling Bluetooth, uninstalling software, drying my phone on a radiator, recharging battery, disabling saving mode, resetting media sound on FB and YouTube etc. Whatever I've done, it didn't help. The phone's audio speakers would work only for one-to-two seconds and then stop. So I new my speakers are not faulty and it's got to be something else. This simple step made my audio work again - instantly! But how on earth has my phone suddenly "decided" to stop ringing and playing media? Seriously, Android is a real pain. Many thanks for sharing this simple fix.
