What treatment has worked best for your blepharitis?

Suffered from this the last 4 years and my optometrist never diagnosed it (or showed much interest in diagnosing it). I have nearly clawed my eyes out with the itching and horrible red swollen eyelids. Have just recently discovered blepharitis as a condition on internet and been using treatments like you advocate. One week in and have found much relief already.

I’ve been suffering with this for 4 years now. The doctors I’ve seen always push it off and don’t give me great advice. Thank you for this!

Just got prescribed PROTOPIC. Only thing that actually helped. Dry eye is better too. Five years of warm compresses, hydroclorous spray, eyelid cleaning scrubs, and more actually brought on the skin irritation. Can’t believe it’s taken so long.
Hoping my eyelashes grow back🙏.
Meanwhile, steroid drops used in the recent past have caused cataracts. At age 66 1/2.
Dermatologist was aghast when I told her I used tea tree oil Eyelid Scrubs!!!
My ophthalmologist, allergist, and dermatologist need to get together and educate each other on all these conditions in and around the eye imo.

I do the gentle massages of the eye lids in the hot steaming showers to help melt the eye oil. This has helped a whole lot! I run a warm air humidifier in the house. Plus I put a drop of Erythromycin Ophthalmic ointment in my eyes before bed. I hope this can help someone!

I’ve been dealing with eye issues for years. I had developed some bad habits of pulling stringy mucus out of my eyes because it would give a little relief. I started using the wipes you recommend and I am feeling to much better. I wish my eye doc had told me about them. I thought it was hormonal. Thank you so much for your great videos!

Yes, It’s a mite called Demodex. I’m surprised u didn’t inform ur viewers about these mites. Everyone has them. Sometimes the mites just overpopulate if ur not getting enough rest, sleep, good nutrition, etc. These mites eat the hair follicles.
Similar to mange in cats or dogs. These mites can spread to the scalp and thin ur hair out. The bugs love eating the follicle. The males stay on the surface, and the females stay by the follicle to eat and lay their eggs. I’m glad ur going to do a video on demodex. I’ll look for it. Everyone needs to know about this. No one is telling them.

So Blepharitis can also be caused by demodex mites...I have suffered for years and year with this...tried all those remedies; all different kinds of scrubs...Ocuscrub etc. HOWEVER...Cliradex is the BEST all around scrub. It does have the tea tree scrub and made such a difference. I used to spend 20 minutes cleaning, massaging, soaking and only ended up with swollen lids. I got Cliradex and Bingo! Huge difference. I use it every few days a week.

I have it very bad, when I look down my lower lids it’s all red and inflamed. I do the compresses daily, I use the tea tree item you showed, and I take omega oil as per my optometrist. But to no avail. I’m so scared this will be permanent. My eyes are deeply itchy every day and I find myself rubbing extremely hard when it gets bad. I guess what I can do more is to do the scrubs twice a day but my issue seems to be way more posterior. Is there a chance this will go away after a few years? Especially if I up my care?

The electric eye compress is worth purchasing: evenly heats, don’t’ have to refresh, has 3 settings for length of time and 3 setting for heat levels. I got mine from a catalog.
